Usually if you plan to upgrade your processor, you might as well upgrade your motherboard completely.
I recommend a mobo within the $70+ range for i5. Don't get a $179 mobo like what i did xd it's not worth it

Yes you could, but the cheapest new i5 is about $70 more. Do not EVER buy PC parts that's already been used.
Well looks like your processor may cause a SLIGHT bottleneck on your GPU. So for that I would recommend getting a Nvidia GTX 960 for $50 less but...
One last thing... try to get a better PSU... power supplies can give out very easily depending on how cheap, so I recommend a corsair/EVGA psu.
BTW with ur GPU, make sure you have Display ports and HDMI. No DVI or VGA ports on ur gpu.
