You can't really stop something like this, the moderators are not even active amongst most of the game modes, they would not be able to moderate chat.
Since they need to start somewhere with developing the server, this is a good Idea and I fully support the /friend ideas. However the /staff idea...
If you had proof of what you had they can refund it, but sadly they are too lazy to roll-back the server so everyone gets all of their stuff back,...
