Not really, you just pour waffle batter onto a waffle iron instead of a pan

They have holes in them to hold syrup and whatever else you want to top on it. Hah! Beat that pancake lovers! (Although I don't mind either :3)

Very true :P (and to be honest, pancakes are much easier to make which is why I eat more of them than waffles, but don't tell anyone ;) )
