Comparators aren't completely necessary, and neither are daylight sensors.
Why would you want them.

Auto Brewers/ timers

Redstone repeaters are just fine for timers.
As for auto brewers, same thing. Just build a regular circuit.

The repeaters don't have a timer that turns them on and off plus all designs for them need comparators not repeaters

Make a long repeating signal, and just google a design without it?

Just no. Its not something thats 100% necessary right now. In the future maybe but its not a concern atm. Do it manually if you have to.

Setting up a redstone contraption to put spider eyes and nether wart into a brewing stand is more complicated than just placing the nether wart in and putting the spider eye in after. If you can make an auto system, you can do it manually.
