      A very popular recording software used around here is "Bandicam", though, people try to avoid it because of the watermark at the top of their video's. It's not really a problem when you are only recording to report with. If you are making YouTube videos, I'd sway more towards those stated above - and maybe OBS.

      For now I'm looking for a good one to record hackers with, so I might give Bandicam a try. I would get Fraps, but I don't trust getting a free version of it. thanks

      Bandicam is usually fairly heavy on your FPS. So, play around with the settings :)
