Not many people reply to the application as they only look at it. Sometimes they don't reply because they haven't decided on their opinion.

It takes time, when you're not as well-known, to be honest. If you see a very well-known person and/or ex-mod applying, you will see they get many views/replies very quickly. It's largely based on popularity.
