I know! It's because you put too much colour or made too many things bold and all of that and the codes for them count as characters. If it happens to you again, use the BB Code Editor and delete everything there so that you can re-write everything with default using the Rich Text Editor again. No colour, no bold, nothing that requires the code.
Then go over the text you've written with the colour and the type of text you want. That should balance it so that it doesn't exceed the character limit.
