Why Ezio??

I like his personality a bit more, plus he's an iconic representation of the Creed.

Ah. I like Connor because He is a Native American with a terrible memory of his childhood ( watched his mother burn to death) and has a plot for revenge and a vengeance to repay the deeds, Also he practically Mastered using a Tomahawk and bow as a child. He also had a Templar father that wasn't there for him during his childhood and Left Connor and his mother to fend for themselves.

And he blends on with the environment to ambush the enemy ( redcoats)

Honestly though, screw the British. ;)
