Laby Mod Usage

Hello fellow Mineverse players. I'm here to talk about a pvp mod called...
Laby Mod.

As shown in the illegal/legal mods thread, Laby Mod is illegal.

Why?! Laby Mod is bannable due to it having macros.

I truly think this is unfair now. The new versions of Laby Mod DO NOT have macros anymore. As of recently, I was banned for the use of this mod.

Wait.. Let's get this straight.. I got banned for my own vid? Ouchhh.



As shown in the video this is a new version of Laby Mod which contains no macros.

I'm absolutely aware that Laby Mod was brought up in the most recent staff meeting

If a player is using the new version of Laby Mod and there is no macros in the version then it shouldn't be illegal, nor should anyone get punished for using it.

...and we are supposed to decipher which version they are using from a screenshot or photo? You can still run the older version.
Figure out a way for me to tell the difference from just a screenshot and we can discuss it. Until then this mod remains illegal.

It does say at the top of his screen the version he is running.... idk tho if you can change it

would there be a way for @CypriotMerks to block certain mods and certain versions of mods from the server? or is it easier just to keep things the way they are?

No Support. People might be using the old version, instead of the new version.

 

You can block certain mods but can't block others. It's as simple as that.
Damage indicator mod is allowed on this server, but it's down to the Macro function which renders it illegal.


You say that it's unfair that you got banned for using the mod, even though you are using the updated version which doesn't even have macro's. Unless you can find a way that proves you were using this certain version this you will remain banned for the use of illegal mods.

For now, It will have to remain illegal as no setting within its GUI will distinguish which version from which.

 

Why is it legal on certain servers (not stating) but not on Mineverse?

 

It's not possible for many things. Like if you try to blacklist a hacked client, most would not work.

 

Everyone low-key uses labymod even myself. I have been banned for using it in my own video. JUST MAKE THE MOD ALLOWED! Correct me if I am wrong but on the labymod website it only allows you to download the latest version of labymod. Also Labymod auto updates everytime minecraft is closed. So it will always be at the latest version.
