So I have a build I've been working on since I joined the site a few days ago. I've had some small assistance from GnomeGuardian (who's helped build the banquet hall and is assisting in other stuff on upper stories as well as redstone) but for the most part I have done everything by myself. I would like to propose the use of the tower as an Infection special map, maybe as part of a tournament or large-group game? The idea is that the humans must reach x-point on the map before the infected kill everyone. In order to reach x-point certain checkpoints must be reached within the map and "keys" obtained (some kind of block or misc. item). The keys can be hidden anywhere inside the map grounds but in order to escape all keys must be acquired and inserted in whatever location. Whether humans must move up to reach goal or down, it doesn't matter! For example: Game Mode: Invasion Air Lift Humans must move vertically through the tower, obtaining keys in undisclosed locations on each level. Upon reaching the top of the tower, Humans must now climb the radio tower located near the greenhouse on the roof and insert the keys into their appropriate slots to call for an airlift. The game ends when either the infected have killed all humans or the last Human escapes. Humans may regenerate health via heal-stations located in various locations across the map. They are restricted to 3 heals per game, however (used via "token") Rules: -Humans limited to 3 lives -No spawn-camping -Gear for hume purchased via shop in game mode lobby; basic unenchanted iron and leather mix for non-ranked; equal upgrade opportunity for non-ranked leveled players -Infected released every other floor 15 seconds after game begins -No loot pickups from slain humes -Only 3 heal station uses per player Rewards: -XP for killing infected -High XP for Airlift -Ruby/s for 1st airlift? ---------------------- Game Mode: Infection- Firefalls Humans have (#) minutes to reach the bottom of the tower and unlock the door and escape. Collect keys on each floor to open the door, avoid the infected (random location spawn inside map), and be the first out before the tower burns. Players spawn from the top floor and must descend, obtaining a key on each floor that unlocks the door on the ground floor. You only have one life and a small window of time to get out; if you failed to get a key from x-floor before it burns, then you burn or join the infected! Rules: -No spawn camping -Humans have one life -Infected released at 15 seconds, all floors -You have no gear (no armor, swords, enchantments). -Heal station uses limited to 3; may purchase more uses in game mode lobby Rewards: -Xp per key acquired -High XP for Escaping before tower burns -High XP + Ruby for escaping without using Heal Station -Ruby/s for 1st to escape --------------- Game Mode: Infection - Left For Dead (2 methods) 1) # Humans must flee the tower before it's overrun with infected! Descend through the hoard to acquire keys and reach the door to escape; unfortunately...there's only enough keys for # Humans. Will you be find a key and escape before the infected take over? Will you join the ranks of the infected to overwhelm humanity? Don't be left for dead! 2) The infected have entered the tower and humans must fight their way out, acquiring # keys per level. Upon getting all keys, the door to the next level below opens and the race for keys begins again. Reach the bottom and survive to fight another day! (TEAMWORK REQUIRED) Rules for both modes: - # Time to complete floor/level before doors perm. locked and infected win. - Humans start with 3 lives. - Humans may pick up a dropped key from dead - No heals; no nukes/bomb drops - Must have all keys to open floor (Mode 2) - 1 key per player only; no key hoarding. Rewards: -XP for killing infected/human -High Xp for first kill/first escape -High Xp for all survived (human) -High XP for all killed (infected)
