__NitroPvP__'s Moderator Application


Introduction

Hello! My name is Alex also known as __NitroPvP__ (IGN). Today I will be making my moderator application for Mineverse, and I hope you guys take the time to read it and tell me what you think. Also before I begin, I would like to apologize to any that I have hurt in the past with words, or actions, or anything. I am truly sorry and I promise I would never do it again, nor try to intentionally bring you down.

I am currently 16 years of age, turning 17 in July.

What languages do you speak?

I unfortunately only speak English at the moment, but know tiny bit of Spanish, not enough to say I can speak it.

Do you have necessary means of capturing evidence?

Yes I do, I can record if the player is hacking, and I can also take screenshots when needed, for advertisers etc. I also make lots of reports on a daily basis in order to decrease the number of wrong doers.

Why do you think you should become a mod?

I think that I should become a moderator because lately there has been loads and loads of hackers on the PvP servers, and I would be able to record them and get them banned very quickly in order to make the game mode a lot more fun for the normal players. I am also on forums a lot, so I would be able to handle ban reports, appeals etc. I am also a very helping person, if someone in - game would need help I would help them to make sure that their needs are satisfied. Below I will list a lot of the traits that I have that are needed to be a moderator.

Honesty

Something that I believe very strongly in is honesty. Especially with my family / friends, honesty is a big factor for us to get to trust each other and get to know each other better as well. I would also never provide fraudulent information on a player to punish them or to benefit my self.

Hard Working

I am a very hard worker. As some of you guys know, I record lots of hackers and post them on the forums basically throughout the whole day, I started recording hackers because I noticed how much there was and I was really looking for a change in the community to decrease the amount of hackers. I also post on forums a lot to help other players with their applications, suggestions, introductions, etc.

Does Not Give Up

I very rarely like to "give up" on something because I will always have that thought in my mind about it thinking that I should have done something about it. With this, even when the hard times come (if I am accepted) during my moderator career I would never give up and stop working, I would always continue to work and help the community.

Outgoing

I try to help a lot of the players on the server even when I am not asked to or when the mod is busy doing something. I do try to answer most of the questions asked in chat about the server and the game mode that they are playing on.

Helping / Caring

I am a very helpful person. I try to help the players with any problems they have on the server, if they need help with a command or how to play, I always try my best to help them. I do try to encourage other players by saying "good fight" or things along those lines, but I cannot say that I have never called someone "eZ" and I have really been trying to change that attitude of mine to be more of caring person.

Respectful

Respect is a big part of my life, I do try to give lots of it. A big thing of mine is to treat others how you want to be treated. I know this may sound corny but I do take it very seriously because I do want to be treated how I treat others.

Friendly

I am very friendly. I am not one to try and downgrade someone, instead I do try to make a lot of friends on the server because making friends will make the server a lot more enjoyable for both of you.

Positive

I do try to stay positive about everything that approaches me, as this will only make things better and more enjoyable rather than being mad or sad about how good or bad something is.

Active

I would consider myself very active, both in - game and on the forums. I do report about 5 to 10 hackers on a daily basis on forums and try to reply to most threads by users.

Mature

I would say that I am very mature for my age, as there are some things that I do take very seriously and if I was accepted as a moderator that would be one of the things that I would take very seriously and push and push to help make the server a better place.

Knowledge

Below I will list some of the basic commands that I know of, if there are other commands I would be sure to contact another staff member via Skype or forums.

Fast Typer

Last, but not least I am a very fast typer. The benefits of being a fast typer is that I would be able to help people in - game and on forums if they would need anything, and tend to reports anything along those lines. This would make things go more fluently on forums and in - game.

How long can you be on the server daily?

In - Game:

Monday: 5 to 7 hours.
Tuesday: 6 to 8 hours.
Wednesday: 6 to 8 hours.
Thursday: 6 to 8 hours.
Friday: 6 to 8 hours.

Saturday: 10 to 14 hours.
Sunday:8 to 12 hours.

Forums:

Monday: 1 to 3 hours.
Tuesday: 6 to 8 hours.
Wednesday: 1 to 2 hours.
Thursday: 6 to 8 hours.
Friday: 6 to 8 hours.

Saturday: 9 to 13 hours.
Sunday:8 to 12 hours.

Note: These times can change depending on the situation, but I can guarantee that on weekdays I will be on the server for at least 4 hours and on the forums for at least 4 hours. Because I am usually on the forums when I am playing.

How long have you been playing Mineverse?

I am almost positive I have been playing Mineverse for about three years, I have been around for a while during the servers ups and downs.

Have you ever banned before? In - game and forums?

I can remember getting banned for scamming a long time ago - I've learnt from that.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?

I've been a moderator on LoreMc. But the owner shut the server down. :(

This is the "3rd" application, so when will you realise there's actually a 50 post minimum requirement?

^ I couldn't agree more. There is also an edit button so you can edit the application and just change the title. Maybe when you do that tag the no supporters and ask again (once you have improved on their feedback). You should really make sure you meet the requirements first and make sure you are known throughout the community.

 

No support. Your text color makes it hard to focus on one part. The text size and spacing makes your app look longer than it really is. I never saw you on any gamemode. You are posting apps constantly when you get too many no supports.

- You obviously haven't read the thread that literally shouts at you to read it before applying.. This shows your lack of ability. It also shows you don't follow the minimum requirements.
- You're not active on the forums.
- Stop making so many applications - it's not necessary.

What does this say about your behaviour? No-one will want a moderator who disrespects the players.

You're obviously not even taking this position serious - it shows you are just staff hungry.
