Hello, Some of you may know me as the mod Jennie from Skyblock, If not... do you live under a rock?

Anyways @larrythebird101 created a teamspeak moderation guide on the Skyblock forums staff section and I noticed that the Mineverse staff team has been using teamspeak a lot more often so here I am today publishing it for your use.

I noticed there’s no real thread to explain how moderating works on TeamSpeak so I’ll post mine from when I moderated Mineverse.

If you aren’t familiar how TeamSpeak works in general please familiarize yourself with this guide located here before attempting to moderate the TeamSpeak.

      Important Things

There are a few things you should remember before moderating TeamSpeak to cause less confusion if one of scenarios arises.
      • The “Mute Client” button does not mute the player for everyone, they only are muted for you.
      • Moderators are only allowed their Mod rank on one identity on the TeamSpeak, so don't ask for Mod on your mobile device's TeamSpeak if you already have Mod on your computer. In the event that your TeamSpeak is reset please message an administrator what happened so you can receive your rank back.
      • Make sure to put a reason message when kicking/banning someone.
      • TeamSpeak is known for it’s drama and player arguments at times so make sure to stop any problems if a player is trying to cause one.

      TeamSpeak Rules

The general rules and staff rules apply to the TeamSpeak with the exception of swearing which is allowed on the TeamSpeak. There are a few extra rules within the TeamSpeak that will be explained. You are obligated to follow the general rules and staff rules while on the TeamSpeak. Failure to follow these rules will result in punishment and/or a demotion on TeamSpeak.

Next is my in-depth version of the Teamspeak rules that the staff needs to abid by.
Teamspeak Rules in Depth (Staff Edition)

You can find the original version on larry's teamspeak moderation guide here:http://www.skyblock.net/threads/teamspeak-moderation-guide.96466/

      Do not abuse your permissions.
      Below will be an in-depth list of what permission abuse includes but is not limited to;

Kicking players from Channels or the Server for no reason.
Don't kick players from channels/server for the lolz. There needs to be a legitimate reason, for example, If a player were to swear, not towards anyone but just saying the word "f***" or anything else, he/she would not be kicked. The rule against swearing is directed towards swearing at people ("f*** you man") in a non-joking, offensive way. You don't always need to have proof to kick but some players like to report for the little things so it's always nice to have.

      Banning players for no reason.
The act of banning a player when they've done nothing wrong or against the rules. Don't ban players for the lolz. When banning a player ensure that you have solid evidence that supports your ban or there could be many problems.

      Moving players around without permission.
For a while this has been a big issue. Players have been reporting mods for moving them without permission, players have been complaining to others about it as well. Always ask players for permission to move them, even if its a friend, always ask. The only exception to this is if you urgently need to speak with them about a modding matter and they refuse.

      Deleting players avatars.
As mods we have the ability to remove inappropriate avatars, Don't abuse this by removing avatars that don't violate the rules for fun or to seem cool/chill.

      Abusing your spam protection bypass.
This includes spamming messages, spamming players with pokes even if they are your friend, and spamming channels etc.

Giving players talk power in AFK.
Do not give talk power to players in AFK, There's a reason no one can talk in the AFK channel.

      Joining private channels without permission.
This has caused big issues among friends. Do not join private channels (channels with passwords on them) without permission. There could be a private discussion going on. The only exception to this is if there is a problem in the channel and you need to investigate (e.g, Ban evader, Dox threats).

      Giving ranks.
Don't give ranks to people who don't actually need the rank (e.g Donor to non-donors).

Credit to Larry for writing the original staff rules.
