Really the only problem with 1.9 I see is the hit cooldown and that can be removed. Other than that the other items added would be pretty cool. IMO

Thats a good thing... Using a Strength 2 pot+ 1 gapple you kill a Full p4 guy with 2 hits..

Nobody really understands, the server can update to 1.9 without ruining PvP. A custom plugin could most I likely easily be installed to remove cool down times for PvP and get rid of the use of two weapons rather than one, and change any other problems people may have with 1.9 PvP.

 

1.8's already bad for pvp, I completely disagree with you.

The 1.9 update will stop killaura and some reach, and other pvp hackers because of the weapon cooldown. I think MV should be updated to 1.9.

Exactly. I honestly hate it when people say 1.9 will ruin PvP when they haven't actually tried it out yet. Who knows, it might actually be alright.

I think the new pvp will be cool only because, you actually have to use strategy and time you hits (Reminds me of chivalry). Thankfully you can disable the cooldown with commands, and I'm sure with future plugins you can remove it as well.
Also, try a 1v1 with someone. The fighting mechanics are actually really fun in a 1v1. It's way more intense than just spam clicking and hopefully hitting your opponent more then he/she hits you.
