I don't play Minecraft anymore... but I agree. Every Minecraft friend I know as of currently hates 1.9. So I think it would be a pretty good idea. lol
The server won't update to 1.9 right away as the plug-ins we are using now are not optimized for it. Altought we will update eventually. Don't worry for now.
I adore many of the features coming with this new update, but they feel and seem too different to be properly Minecraft-y. Support. PvP would be more predictable.
I don't think we should completely throw away the idea of updating to 1.9, no. Many players will be updating to 1.9, and if we keep our server 1.8 - that's a good bit of players gone. I think we should give it a try. If it's awful, we can always go back to 1.8. However, it will be months after 1.9 is actually released until we actually have to worry about this. Gotta wait until our plugins are updated too.
1.9 is coming out on Monday And don't get me wrong it sounds cool with the end and stuff But the pvp ._.

You wrote like 10 words 1.st Try to PVP (with someone), you will see that isn t that bad. 2.nd I bet you played the 1.9 version like 4 or 5 mins than you ran... 3.rd The update will remove almost all the hackers until there s no hacked clients for 1.9 The PVP is awesome... RIP Jitter Clickers :D Srsly you don't like the update? ... Think twice..
I never said I didn't like it but you can only get a real hit every 10 seconds And quite frankly I don't want to write a 5 paragraph essay on why 1.9 isn't good for pvp
1.8 is already bad the way it is, without blockhitting and broken animations. I cant imagine what 1.9 would be for pvp.
