25 Posts to Rate or Like For New Members

We moderate the new user(s) for up to an hour after their first post is approved.
So we have control over letting them get to 25.

It'd be very easy for me to make another forums account without anyone suspecting anything. Other than an ip check.

We might figure out that an account is an alt before they reach 25 posts.
No guarantees though.

Find a way to make it so new members can't just spam to get it? Maybe make some of them be a certain character amount?

 

It isnt fool proof but it really does help when it comes to alts. If 25 seems too little I suggest raising the post count needed to around 35-50. Otherwise im glad this solution was thought of.
