I went and tried to download a hacked client because of this, I failed and got a virus that I have already removed xD. But it is very tempting to start hacking, so this should be fixed as soon as possible as I have been noticing more hackers recently. And kb hacks on bedwars are huge, one guy can carry an entire team. So thats a problem ;-;

 

If you dont give me money ill hack on minigames

thats retared. If your banned on a gamemode for hacks you should be banned on all servers. I'm fine with the other banning rules but if you hack it should be a lobby ban no matter what server.

 

A very temporary solution, because it isn't working too well.
Honestly, in my opinion, we should keep banning for Mini-Games offenses. Their funeral if they broke the rules.

 

Hacking in general ruins the game.

 

I don't mean to be rude or anything but you clearly known well, little to nothing.

From my knowledge, mods don't have perms on mini games(or some may, not sure) and so they resorted to lobby banning people. The problem with that is that they were playing mini games. Banning them on the lobby would stop them from playing all games.

Now, if you think of this somewhat logically, like you should've before making this thread, not only is this not the moderators faults, but you also would've thought about the severity of 'hacking' on Minecraft. It doesn't take a genius to tap the R button for 'Kill aura'. The world isn't going to end due to Mineverse being flooded with hackers...

Which is what a lot of us are saying should happen. A cheater is a cheater is a cheater. Don't want to be banned? Don't cheat. I wish Mojang would develop a master ban list and not allow these people to log in. The cheaters would all have to play with cracked clients on cracked servers. That way we corral all of them together and let them hack to their hearts content. The rest of us can play bw as intended.

I don't think this is a rant. It's an honest discussion of how the community feels about cheaters and their punishments. Sadly many of the posts in this thread tell me that people, in general, are not bothered by playing with cheaters.

 

I find it especially annoying when I play bed wars and a player is on there cursing left and right, then in game hacking and making themselves win unfairly. I see no reason why if a player is hacking on one part of mineverse, what would stop them from doing it on other parts of the server? They could see it very much as "Oh look, I just hacked and got away with it on mini games, why don't I turn this up a notch and take on the survival server, or the kit pvp, or the prison, or ect." They can always appeal. Hackers are hackers and need to be stopped.

While this is a honest discussion with the community, it does say rant in the title. I believe this thread is a a conversation about the server started by one players rant/discussion starter. Some people may seem not to be bothered by playing with cheaters/hackers because that's what they're used to and has become a part of their way of playing.

 

This server bans based on game modes. Regardless of your opinion, that's how it is here and what I was saying is that there is no reason, when you consider the way bans are dealt with here, to ban someone on the lobby for a mini game offence when it is just a mini game.

It's so easy to hack, and essentially harmless in reality because you are playing a pixelated sandbox game where at the end of the day, it's a game, that Mojang would not go to the effort to do that for something that can be handled on servers.

That's the way this server operates. That's all I'm saying.

 

In order to reach the mini games you have to go through the lobby, therefore if you hack a minigame, you had a client on whilst going through lobby. MV rules state no hacked clients are allowed so you are rightly punished with a lobby ban.

 

In my opinion they hacked so deserve the ban but I guess I'll just stop reporting on bedwars

Minigame or not it is still a hack. They had a choice, and they made it. They hacked, and if you hack, you hack. It doesn't matter if it was on a "smaller" server or not (heck why is it even called a minigame? It's probably busier than Skywars which is not a minigame).

I mean, yeah, maybe a lobby ban is a little too much, (and that Mojang master list thing is way too farfeftched) but they need to get a minigame-only ban system up and running (well, actually, it should be a Bedwars-only ban system since no one really plays the other minigames much).

But yeah, someone said here that in order to get to the minigame server with a hacked client they have to go through the lobby server with a hack client. Lobby hacking is a ban, so therefore minigame server hacking should be sufficient to ban IMO.

It's a pixelated sandbox game, sure, but games should be enjoyable, and enjoyment becomes harder with hackers.

 

As I said, this is the way the SERVER runs. Why would someone be banned from lobby for a mini game offence when someone who hacks on KitPvP only gets banned on KitPvP?

Think about it, it's mini games.

 

True, true, but a person who hacks should still be banned. This thread has changed to be more about how the banning system should change on the whole server. It just doesn't make sense that committing a crime only affects you where you committed it and not elsewhere. Think about that :p

honestly I think until they get perms this is fine. Some one shouldn't get banned from the entire server for something that's only bannable on one gamemode (im not saying hacking isn't im just saying this as an example) and if someone does a minigame offense they should be banned from the rest of the server.

 

Why would you complain? Did you hack? If so, don't you think you deserve to be banned? Hacked clients are not allowed in any server not just minigames. If you hacked there, you will hack anywhere. You should just take your justified punishment like everyone else, submit a ban appeal saying how sorry you are and lie and say you'll never do it again and blah blah blah=unbanned.
