What? If I am not going insane, I can clearly remember half the staff team going on to prove a point. I still see mods on quite often. I do not see the validity in this point. I also remember the amount of disrespect we got and how many ban messages were sent. Honestly, it is hostile. ---------- Funny how people think the mods as a whole don't do work. It is amusing. You'd be surprised. Can you see active reports and how many come in compared to the handled ones? Nope. Ban appeals? Nope. You can only see archives. Maybe we should open the active nodes. We aren't also a huge team. Compared to the players, we are tiny. Look at Skyblock, they have tons of people. Thing is, we don't exactly need that. The way things are set up, it is hard to see how things really are. Mods do make mistakes and need a leadership team. There is a reason Pile, Fry, and I are here.
wat. Like people have said before me, change will not happen. It hasn't since I joined in June of 2013.
We don't go to OpFactions because of its toxicity. And when we do, all we get is hate. Why would we want to stay? You specifically asked for us to go on OpFactions, so we did. The only thing that happened was constant hate. We had about 10 mutes, 7 bans, and piles of warnings. It's not enjoyable for us.
It's not that(at least not for me personally) mods don't do work, nor has that ever been the issue for me, it's that out of the staff team there have been quite a few people far more disrespectful and abusive than most of the players, this is in no way the case of the entire staff team but I believe that's what people are taking their frustration out on, not that they "hate the staff team".
Moderators give themselves too much credit. Most moderators hide behind the works their partners do and say they are participating.
Thank you to everyone that has posted. But I have to say that I believe moderators are the back bone of the server. Only once in my year and a half on this server have I seen a mod do something wrong. So those of you who say that mods don't do anything I strongly disagree with you
Even after my post, Nanurz's post and many other moderators post on this thread you guys still can't see that all I am asking for is to be kinder to mods and not be so toxic towards them. A little kindness can go a long way. So the next time you are about to bad mouth the staff team or any mod specifically think about it and how it could backfire. Thank you
I was a moderator, fam. I kinda know what goes on. Still do. All of it's pointless. It's just a Minecraft server anyways. I don't know why they think it's cool to have a little tag anyways.
