A few Moderators, including myself were on Skygrid earlier and were discussing the faults of the game mode and what needs to be done about it. A lot of people view Skygrid as pointless and broken but I believe if these things were to be added, we could bring in a larger player base. -=-RESET SKYGRID-=- Skygrid needs a reset, it's obvious. When was the last reset or has there ever been one? Resetting Skygrid would allow /new/ 1.8 blocks to be added and old and new players to have a fresh start. Maybe a lovely new spawn can be implemented! Anyway, a long with a general reset, there are some things that need to be added and improved, such as: -=-Claiming-=- Claiming is totally broken at the moment, whether that be claiming land with sponges or privatting chests/doors/etc. We believe that in order to keep players playing, we need to improve/add the following: Make claims permanent until sponges are removed by the player(s) who placed them. Give players the ability to private their chests, doors and whatever else is necessary. Give players the ability to /trust players to their claims to enable them to build together. As mentioned by @Elephantlovr33X Fix sponges!! Make the maximum claim area 1000 blocks in area. -=-Spawners & Spawn Eggs-=- At the moment, players are unable to spawn mobs from certain eggs which basically makes them pointless. Spawn eggs need to be fixed to allow them to have worth. A silk touch plug-in needs to be added! It would be lovely to be able to pick up spawners and place them in your claims. But, making them so that you can change the spawner with a spawn egg is not necessary as there are spawners everywhere and the fun/challenge would be to find the one(s) you are looking for. Support. Also I want to add something to this. As we all know, sky grid isn't a very popular gamemode. If we add plug-ins to sky grid that no other server has then it will be unique and different. Then maybe skygrid can be popular and a good, fun gamemode to play
Support. I too was on it earlier, before all you guys decided TO HAVE A PARTY WITHOUT ME. And I was in shock of how poorly developed the server was :/
How would it be OP? There is no objective in Skygrid (as stated in chat), so why would having a bunch of spawners be OP?
Agreed. Nothing about spawners would notably affect any part of the server. People can just auction spawners which is, come to think of it, a bonus. Support, I used to be a big SkyGrid player but I stopped a while back on MV because it was broken.
I played skygrid when I first started mineverse and back then there would be a lot of people and now we see 6 minimum, I would love to see a GameMode this wonderful "come back to life" Support!
