So, Im just here to talk about moderator applications. I honestly think that how moderators are being chosen and supported are being done wrong.
    Here's an example
    ModApp2.PNG

Before I start this, I dont mean to beat down on Rodeen or anyone, But look at the detail. Like come on, she joined the forums about a few months ago and she can just do a little effort-ed moderator application and get around 90+ supports. I don't get it. @Rodeen

    Then there's this guy
    FirstModApp.PNG
He obviously by far put a lot more effort, been on the forums for over a year, and has been active like the average Mineverse forums user. But he doesn't get much supports, he gets many no supports. @Ta_Ta_Taz

My thing is, how're we doing moderators apps here? Are we doing it by whoever we like most and because we're their friend we're gonna give them many likes and vote them as moderator? Because in my honest opinion people who tend to be most popular are getting to be moderator than the people who have been around more and been way more active and knows more about the server, doesn't get a single chance.

Like come on guys, look at other applications and see who really deserves the place. Just because they're popular doesn't mean they can just make a small sweet, colorful moderator application and just become moderator.
You can yell and dislike all you want, but please think about this. Who really deserves the spot? The person who's had more experience or the popular one?
Again guys, I'm not trying to beat down on Rodeem or taking sides with Taz, but it was just a good example to compare off of.

You obviously have no idea how applications are chosen.

You are only thinking about forums.
Ever think about their in-game behavior?

    Ok, let me expand.
We do not promote based on popularity. There's a system for picking.
Us, moderators, find who they think is fit for the position. The head-mods later look through and find who they find worthy. They send it to Cypriot, and e makes the final call.
Take Wardogs- his application had two or three pages, yet he became mod.

Rlx, two pages on his application, and he was promoted.

Let me explain how I got the amount of supports I got.
    • I am generous and kind to most Mineverse players.
    • I help people with issues not everyone can handle.
    • I know a lot of the rules of the server.
Popularity has nothing to do with getting mod, so please explain why you used me as an example without my
    permission.

Im not necessarily talking about how the moderators choose apps. Im just trying to say, there are other people who put more effort, yet the person who puts less effort sometimes gets more praise.

The effort in the app does not always matter, it has to do with your attitude towards others in game also, and the people who have supported me believe that I am capable for the position. If you do not think this way and think it is all about the app please tell me what I need to do to improve my application :/

Throughout my year here, people tend to "go with the flow" on applications.
If 10 people support it, they will most likely support it. And it's how it is, if they go with the flow, then they do so.
Supports and such don't effect their chances.
