I already find the trophies useless and problematic.

 

You can get the trophy & then remove the dislikes at a later date. Of course people will find ways to do this, because everyone wants trophies. Especially if they've already gotten all the trophies that they can from likes. :p

 

No it's not. It's rewarding someone for being involved in the community.

 

Sometimes this said "someone" is really rude and actually deserves the dislikes. Should they progress on forums because of it?

 

Yeah, just because someone isn't likeable doesn't mean they shouldn't get a chance to earn something on forums.

 

They're already given plenty of chances to earn things, such as the trophies that already exist. I see where you're coming from, though. I just think it'd be another thing for people to rate abuse their friends for.

Lol no. A positive is more than just the like rating, a negative has only one rating. Also there are some groups of people who likes every status posted by one another and easily get dozens of positives per day.
