Intro Hey guys its Halex again, I wanted to build a farm using hoppers on skyblock but because we can't I did my research and found what could be a possible solution to having hoppers on skyblock again. I have no idea how hard this would be to change on the server or if this is even possible using the plugins that are on the server but I still thought I would throw this idea out to you guys. Besides who knows, it may come to pass and that would be awesome . Reason hoppers are disabled Okay so as many skyblock players know, hoppers are disabled, the reason for why is what I am guessing less people know. The reason hoppers are disabled is because in all 1.8 versions of minecraft, there is a bug that items can duplicate in hoppers when 2 hoppers face into each other and they are passing an item back and forward, then the chunk they are in unloads and reloads repeatedly resulting in about two items duped per minute. After some research I found out that this bug only happens with two hoppers doing this, if an item got passed into a chest, dispenser, brewing stand, etc, it would not duplicate. My idea for a compromise to fix this issue As I said in the intro section of this thread, I have no idea how hard this would be or even if this is possible to do with the plugins on the server. What I suggest is to re-enable hoppers so they can pass items like normal again into every inventory except other hoppers making it so they are once again useful and automatic farms can be built but, duplicating items would still be impossible. You haven't thought about farms needing more than on hopper. For instance, a mob grinder would probably need 4 hoppers going into each other until they reach one hopper that goes to a double chest.
Its possible to have a hopper going into a dropper that fires back into another hopper but thanks for the support.
That is why I said a better fix not a perfect fix in the forums title besides its better than them being completely disabled but thanks for the reply.
