Mineverse 1.9?

Please don't update to 1.9.

You guys don't want 1.9, but yet you don't provide an answer :?

To be honest I think 1.9 will be a cool update. I hated it so much when they announced that we have cool downs on weapons but then I started to like it after a while. The cool down is probably the thing that EVERYONE hates! I understand, it's a big twist to PvP, it's no longer a competition of "who has the lowest ping", or "who can click the fastest", but let's at least give 1.9 a chance. It's only a few "negatives", there are many more positives! Like the ability to revive the Ender Dragon, or we can repair our armor with the Mending enchantment which makes it more fair for Supreme and under. It will also be more competitive since Mending and Frost Walker are both very rare enchantments yet they're powerful, and it will be a race for the Elytra.​

 

Do you remember/know how many problems the server faced when updating to 1.8?

 

No because I wasn't on Mineverse at that time.

 

eh 1.9 seems really bad because of the pvp if you haven't looked at a video or tried it yourself it's a hit cooldown but it has been said that servers can edit this timer to 0 so pvp will pretty much not be changed. Another big thing why people are questioning 1.9 is the notch apple being uncraftable which isn't too bad seeing the shop should still have it along with vps.
I honestly am looking forward to a number of things in 1.9 being the new glide ability with the elytra. I think the new update will probably cause a reset or two in the gametypes which can be good or bad depending how you take it but It seems like a reasonable update but we won't really know until we find out.

I'm sure there will be problems at first but eventually we'll be able to fix them regarding plugins and other things.

 

I got something that will solve both of your problems, somewhere on my PC, I configurated NoCheatPlus, so it stops hackers and kicks them and stuff, if cyp would like to use that then he's welcome.

Yes mate, I have researched the 1.9 PvP, I know all about it, the cool downs, shields, the new sweep ability for your sword.
If they make the timer 0, PvP is even more destroyed. Ya see, 1.9 is made for the PvP with cool downs, the god apple was changed, and the shield was added. The reason why PvP will be ruined if they set the damage timer 0 is because the armor in 1.9 is getting changed as well, unless Cyp can change it somehow, but the armor is made to handle the 1.9 PvP, in other words if we change the timer to 0, people will die very quickly. The armor is controlled by attributes, and it will be unbalanced and can't handle the spam-clicking of players killing each other. Change one small thing, it ruins many more things. ​

 

1.9 isn't even out yet and unfortuneatly it will probably be implemented to those who'd on want it, it will change but when the end was added people ranted and complained about it saying it would ruin the game it's just progression.

With a command block, you can turn PvP back to normal like in 1.8

 

That will destroy 1.9 even more, that's what everyone is forgetting.

 

Well there is nothing to worry about for now. 1.9 wont be released until next year.
