Useless Chat Warning Solution - 32rhys32

Following on from my post on the discussion forums ( http://www.mineverse.com/threads/chat-warnings-dont-seem-to-do-much.62077/#post-646812 ) Which elaborates the problems and possible reasons for this plugin in the comments section. I'm making a suggestion / possible solution to the useless warnings. As shown below -


I am not sure whether the clean chat plugin is just for these useless warnings or if it does anymore but that is a separate matter.

To solve this there are several solutions, listed below because I'm too lazy to write them out in a sexy paragraph:

• Delete the plugin (if its just the chat cool down warning included in this plugin)
• Find a way to add in a limit of warnings and then a possible consequence once that limit is met e.g. short ban / kick in the coding.
• make a thread explaining the real purpose of this plugin and make me feel moronic after writing all this
• replace it with another plugin separate to the spam kick
• <-- think of another solution for this bullet point ;)

It at least does something. When I didn't obey the command cooldown I got kicked, but that isn't really of much use since you can just go back on.

 

the warning does nothing, the thing that got you kicked was not the warning it is a seperate plugin, you can still have 999999999999999999999999999999 warnings and have no consequences

The warnings that do nothing apart from block your message and accumulate? not being rude I just need as many opinions as possible

What do you want them to do? Ban the player for typing spam too much, its not going to happen, the system in place warns players, and stops their spam from going through.

Also, sometimes due to this system you have to type something before using a command, if you play PvP you will understand me, and sometimes in speed you just type "t" or a singular letter, and you end up racking up loads of warnings because you are having to say something before using a command.

I still say No Support.
If the system already cancels out Spam, why ban them (or "short ban" you said).
Also, the system does kick you sometimes, just not all the time, there is no point in a punishment or further consequence if the system blocks spam anyway.

 

Also, whoever racked up that many warnings (in the picture) must have no jobs or life.
No one is going to rack up nearly Infinity warnings.

 

I honestly think its just to scare players. I think a few times I have gotten like 15-20 warnings and nothing happened xD.

 

Yes, I also think that the system is just to scare players.
But I am glad that they haven't made it kick or temp ban people.
I think it is a good system, thats my only reason for No Support.

Oh that dosn't work?? Whew, I am always afraid to get 6 warnings because I think I would get banned xD Now i know ty ;) support

 

I was literally shaking once because I had 20 warnings for caps lock because I always press it instead of shift lol. Support nonetheless

Thank you for your opinion I will take all these into count, by the way the picture is a photo edit I did the temp ban / kick is just one of the suggestions, if they accumulate too many e.g. 50+ etc..

Maybe just remove the warnings bit but not the whole plugin, or use another plugin that just blocks what you tried to say.
