He could be lying about it just so he can be unbanned 'quicker'.

 

The user was banned for giving out personal information. The reporting user was uncomfortable with the offender using his full name in global chat. If the user was comfortable with him using his in-real life name, then he wouldn't have been banned.

 

You wonder nowadays who gives their name out to the public.

 

Some people are okay with giving out their name, but he was not.
