Why do people judge my life choices ;-;

Random rant:
So we (the waffle fam) were watching the Gadget show and there was a little section on DanTDM; I have never personally watched this youtuber however because I play minecraft, my parents immediately looked at me (my brother got lucky because he was not present at the time) and started saying 'is this the dumb game you dedicate your waking hours to?!' then proceeded to laugh.
I'm sick and tired of being judged for playing a GAME. People in my year get bullied for playing it, yet the people who are bullying them stay up until midnight to get the latest fifa so they can sweat it out on their precious PS4's until the waking hours. Need I mention that minecraft expresses creativity, whereas games like Call of Duty just channel the underlying anger from our own personal problems.
I guess I'm an angry waffle and just need to take a chill pill, but today has been so disappointing for many reasons, and I want to be able to lift the wight of at least one of them off my shoulders. Yes you probably disagree because you play COD, but I respect that your opinion is different to mine. I'm not trying to be disrespectful but I'm just opinionated. 'Tis in my genes.​

Waffle, don't let people bother you simply because they have differentiating opinions. Some people do not simply like the concept of Minecraft, of people playing it, etc. Also considering some parents think playing video games is a complete waste of time, when in fact is the opposite. Games actually help people engage with others (even though virtual), get you thinking and spark creativity, etc. You're going to find out as you grow up that people try to enforce their likes and dislikes upon you, and believe their opinion is dominant. You have to learn how to ignore this and simply accept the fact that everyone has different likes and dislikes, and that is what truly makes us each our own individual :D

yh thanks I guess when people get their whole class to laugh at you it just gets too much; it frustrates me that there are so many hypocrites but I guess that's life.. (also I realise how immature I sound in this thread but I choose not to regret anything so I guess I'll just leave it here )

At least we dont have to buy a "diferent game" that is basically the same every year. We have free updates. :D

I've been there, done that. But don't let their immaturity and foolishness discourage you though, because in reality you are miles better than they are :P

As a girl, it's pretty common that we don't play many video games. Girls usually do DIYs and all that. Apparently, I'm not one of those. I'm different. Everyone is different. Do what you love to do. Don't let other people judge you. If they do, well, stand up for yourself and move forward with life.

You are you. Don't let anyone discourage you or force you to change.

Lmao. Cod players bassically buy cod every year so they can play the most up to date version of multiplayer... I've even had a few friends who admit to that.
