[USA] Danstorm's Moderator Application

Hello Mineverse! My name is Dan, better known as "Danstorm" in-game, or "Stormy" here on the forums. I am 24 years old, born on May 7th, 1991. I currently work for Cable One as a Tech Support assistant. Basically my job is to assist people with any internet, cable, tv, and/or computer issues they may be experiencing. Well, that's enough about my life offline; on with the application!

~I am 24 years of age.

What is your in-game name?
~Danstorm.

Which languages do you speak?
~I can speak English, and a bit of Spanish as I took 3 Spanish courses throughout highschool.

What timezone are you in?
~I am in the EST timezone (Florida).

What country do you live in?
~I live in the United States of America.

Why should you be a moderator?
~Although I have little experience as a moderator, I believe I understand the basics of how it works. I completely understand that moderating isn't all about banning hackers, in fact, that is only a small part of it. I know as mod I will be expected to assist players with any difficulties they may be experiencing, and I'd say I'm pretty good at providing quick, clear solutions to these issues. I know Mineverse's rules as well as I know the back of my hand, and will be sure to read back on them if I am unsure of something regarding them. I will never punish without reason, and solid, valid proof of a rule(s) being broken. If I make a mistake, I will be sure to own up to it and do my best to fix the damage I've caused. I will take responsibility for my own faults, and will do my best to not have many of them. I am easily approachable, so if you ever see me in-game, feel free to shoot me a message; I love making new friends! I do my best to avoid being AFK for too long, and if there's something I have to do that will take awhile, I usually log off until I am able to focus on playing again. I also try to answer any questions that fill the chat to the best of my ability. If there is something I am unsure about I usually check here to see if I can find an answer. Then, I give it to the player(s) who asked and guide them to where I found it. I am fairly active in the chat, so if I am online you will most likely see my name there a few times during your time on the game mode. I know that there is more to moderating than just communicating with players in-game as well, such as checking reports and keeping your activity level as high as possible. Speaking of reports, I will also be sure to keep up with them in order to get most, if not all of them, done. If I am able to, I will handle them as soon as I see them. However, if I can't, I will notify another staff member that there is a report that needs to be dealt with. If the report is still not resolved by the next time I'm free, I will deal with it myself. I will never hesitate to handle a report as long as I know how to do so. If I am unsure of what to do, like I said, I will read over the rules another time, and if that still doesn't help me, I will ask another mod for help. I understand that moderating comes before playing, and if there is something I need to take care of, I will stop what ever I am doing to handle it. As moderator I will be sure to do my job as efficiently and effectively as I can.

How long have you been playing Mineverse?
~I started playing in early 2014, but my account was deactivated for some unknown reason. I now have a new account and began playing again in early September of this year.

How long can you be active each day?
~Depending on the circumstances (work, etc), I can be online anywhere from 2-4 hours every day. However I can be on the forums a bit longer.

Have you ever been banned in the past?
~I have not.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
~Unfortunately I do not have much experience as I have only moderated very small servers in the past. But, I do believe I am capable of doing an exceptional job as moderator here.

 

You seem like a nice, helpful and mature person, but I have never seen you in-game.

I like your application, yet an Application, must have detail.
I would suggest you add detail, maybe some colour, then I will give you support .

I do not understand how including color in my application will help me appear more approachable but I'll take your word for it haha. I will do it first thing tomorrow as I am on my phone at the moment getting ready to sleep.

Edit: I chose not to modify the color much, as I am trying to make my application "winter" themed.

Although my application isn't very lengthy, I believe that everything I needed to explain about myself and my abilities have been covered (I did make a few edits though). However if you still think I need more information feel free to let me know.
