Fluent English and I am currently studying French for my GCSEs.

What do you use to record hackers?
I am current using Quicktime Player, but I have made a QuicKey shortcut where when I click on QuickTime Player it automatically records so I don't miss a hacker.


Why do you think you should become a mod?

I have been playing on Mineverse for quite some time now and I have met so many people along the way (especially on OPPrison). I know I am new to the forums, but that is because I was unable to sign up, as you all may know. I am very active on this server and I would love to take my contribution towards this server to the next level. I believe I can assess a situation properly and figure out when to be strict and when to be friendly. I also believe on both Prison and OPPrison there are no guards/moderators online to jail people for using contrabands and stopping disputes.

Good Listener and Communicator
I believe a moderator must be a good listener so the players on this server don't feel ignored and so that the problems that are being reported by the players are understood quickly. Also, a good communicator can get a message across without confusing the players and I think this is key because it allows me to answer questions about a game mode so the player knows what she/he is doing. Also, I think good-natured humour is important for roles that require some form of leadership as studies have shown that humour is the best way to ease stressful situations which can lead to a better relationship and teamwork. (Bell Leadership Study)

Objectivity
I am able to set my feelings aside for someone and get my job done without my emotions clouding my judgement. I believe this is an important quality when it comes to moderating a server because when it comes to serious offences like hacking (and other offences too) people should not go unpunished and if your friends are left unpunished (as a result of emotions clouding your judgement) then it is likely they will take advantage of this.

Active
I know I am only just a member on the forums, but I believe out of the time I have come to the forums, I have spent a lot of time on here. Also in-game I spend a lot of time on Prison, OPPrison and recently Infection. I also play on other game modes but not as often

Friendly
I like to meet new people and the process of getting to know each other. As part of my volunteering at a local charity shop (which my mum made me enrol to), I have learnt many new things, especially how to greet people into the shop and how to make them feel warm and welcome. Over the time, I have played on OPPrison I have helped out many people get a hold of the game and I am sure they can back me up here. Also, there are some moderators who don't talk at all and just watch the chat, I believe the total opposite should be done as it forms a bond between the moderator and the players.

Time Management
I have already made a timetable for how long I spend for school and how long I spend on Minecraft. After 1 year of playing Minecraft and going to school I believe I have found how to balance my schooling and my Minecraft time. I pretty sure I will be able to add in an extra slot for the forums.

Teamwork
I believe that years of playing basketball for my school has allowed me to develop my communication skills and how I work with other people in order to come up with a solution. It has also allowed me to hone my leadership skills which I believe is necessary in order to take charge of the situation and stop people hacking/swearing by using the power given to me by all means.

Getting The Job Done
After just over 4 years of school I have been able to complete all of my homework and controlled assessments in time. The volunteering at Scope has also allowed me to complete a set number of tasks over the 3-4 hours of volunteering every week.

Hackers
I think I will be able to catch hackers really easily as I know quite a few secluded areas in all the PvP zones in OPPrison. Unfortunately, I have used hacks before but I believed it has allowed me to differentiate between who uses hacks like Kill Aura and who doesn't. Also I know as a moderator, the permissions granted should not be abused under any circumstances and I will definitely not give my friends any "special treatments". Finally, I know players can't be banned without proof even as a Mod so as a Mod I will keep QuickTime player open so when situations come I can get evidence before banning someone.

I have played on Mineverse since when I first got Minecraft, which was just over 1 year ago.

I have been banned by xxxvan once before from Prison which was for hacking

I do not have any past experience at being a moderator, but I believe there is always a first in everything.

Which two servers would you like to moderate?
I believe I should be moderating OPPrison as it is where I am most active when I am playing on Mineverse. If I had to choose another server that I am most active is probably normal Prison.
