[Survival/Factions] Timeout on claims and chests.

Seems pretty important to just forget.

 

What items, which are easy to gain, are important?

 

People have responsibilities more important that a game, for example i must spend 8 hours at day sleeping, 9 at school, 5 at service of firemans, and i cant always be that 2 left hours in a pc; I have to cook, go to the supermarket, and stuff more important. Of coarse people can forget, is not like everyone is a marionette and can always remember to login and reset the timer. And i guess you have things more important than a game.

This isn't quite what I meant. I meant that it'd be hard to forget about something as important as this.
And can't there a warning be sent to their email or something if they're getting close to the timer? But I personally disagree with this, as the main point of this addition is to get rid of people who don't play anymore.

All you'd have to do is login for 5 seconds. And the 1 month is just a EXAMPLE! What if it's 2 months?
Even if you spend 8 hours sleeping, just login in to the server for 5 seconds. Timer reset. Simple. You can manage that, right? Even if you come home tired?

And _MEGA_, would you please stop looking on the negative side of things? It'd be hard to trigger each and every situation that you've outlined naturally.

Survival: What if they come back and they see all their stuff is gone?
Factions: There is no chest claiming on factions but there is a 30 day power drain which would make a faction over claimable.

 

This is for Survival, and that's the whole point. This is to get rid of claims of the player's that leave the server for say a year.

 

They said it was for factions in the post.
But they may come back and that would be worse than just leaving it have lost everything.
But survival resets more than once a year so that would be pointless.

Do you not understand the intention of this idea? People who don't play regularly or only come on once a MONTH shouldn't be hoarding their items.
Actually, no it wouldn't. It would save space, and possibly reduce plugin lag, by getting rid of extra claims. This could save space. But I'm not a person who really knows these things, so this last part might not be true..
Also, I run into LOTS of these claims at spawn and around the area. Even VERY far away I still find these. Perfectly good houses and chests, untouched..

The resets take care of this, just wait for the next one.

 

1. People gained thier items why is it "fair" to give them away due to inactivity.
2. It wouldn't save server space as loaded chunks are the only thing what is saved
3. Again that is their hard work that you are just wanting to take because you're too lazy to gather your own stuff.
