Well, 1 Join.me doesn't give away your ip. 2 Join.me does not give away your location. 3 You have control of the screensharing session.

I agree but there would need to be a mod on a lot more frequently.. because if someone sends in a report the Moderator might take time to notice it. so by the time they log on the hacker would probably be off by then.

theres this thing I foumd called AdminSeries On youtube basically about a Admin or a Mod walking around looking for people that are hacking and recording them and freezing them as they ban them...

Correct me if I'm wrong ._.

    Good Day,

I suppose this idea confuses me as it appears to be basically a method to record hackers. This being the case, it would almost seem to be more appropriate to educate the community more on how to record these players and submit reports than to try to do a screen sharing session. There are a number of things I can see being problematic with a screen sharing approach.
    • The time spent setting up a screen share or anything else, is far more time spent than the current process of just reviewing player submitted reports/ videos. As the staff is already swamped, may not be a great idea to take up more of their limited time in something like this.
    • Given the age of many players on MV, they may not be allowed via parental restrictions (either on PC or on them) to show their screens to strangers.
      • You may say hackers wouldn't have this restriction, but if someone is improperly viewed as hacking, this could become an issue.)
    • This type of thing is incredibly invasive to players. Someone can merely report you and now you need to show your screen to a staff member. As a player, I would be infuriated to have to do this, and likely would just stop playing the gamemode.
    • What happens if someone can't get the screensharing program to work, or says they can't get it to work?
The single biggest thing however, is that a player could (and should be allowed) to opt out of sharing their screen. I know I wouldn't want someone seeing other programs I have open, icons on desktops, backgrounds, things like this.

Just speaking my mind, but as an IT guy, this type of thing just seems a bit too "big brother" for a video game. I would rather educate players on how to properly record, upload and report players themselves than this style of approach.

    Regards,
    Melgrath

    No support.
I don't entirely understand how this would catch any hackers.
I mean, what hacker would screen share anyway? It would just get them self banned so why would they screen share?

If you're refusing to screen share and you're hacking wouldn't it be obvious? Considering you have hacked you many times :troll:

When did I report skydiver? LOL. You don't understand. I'm saying if the server ever implements this.. (They won't), but if they did as I explained in the post that they would get spammed saying "Don't log off or you will be banned" and if they don't they can continue with the screen share process.
