So I've been spending a lot of time on the SkyWars server lately, and I've picked up on a few things that may or may not be helpful to some of you ^-^ Snowballs and eggs don't do any damage to a person unless it knocks them off of their island. Don't just chuck them at people randomly in hope of trying to kill them. If you're going to kill someone while the two of you are on an island, don't do the deed by hitting them off of their island. It's better to try and keep them on their island, so that if you kill them you can get all of the stuff they had in their inventory. On a similar note, if someone attacks you on your island and you know you're going to die, jump off of the island so that your opponent can't get any of your stuff when you die. (This is especially helpful if you have good stuff like ender pearls, diamond swords, etc. on you.) If you want to build your way to another island using wood or any kind of stone, it's better to make wood/stone slabs and use those instead of using full-sized blocks. This is more efficient, since you get twice as much material to build with. (You will need a crafting table in order to do this.) The game in the snow/ice biome usually has two chests on each island, but only one will be showing. If there's a second chest on your island, it will always be three ice blocks below the surface. The safest game to build to other islands in is the one with the clay islands, since only three or four of the islands get snowballs or eggs. Don't team up with anyone unless you know and trust them. A lot of people will ask to team up with someone at the beginning of the game, and then as soon as the two players are on the same island the person will kill their "teammate." In the game with the desert biome, the center island is a pyramid that resembles a temple. There are chests inside the pyramid, but they're on the bottom floor, and you can't get back out through the hole you used to get in. If you're going to get stuff from the pyramid, make sure you have a plan for how you're going to get back out. Keep your inventory organized. In a fast-paced game like this, organization might be the last thing on your mind, but I like to take a few seconds after getting everything out of my chests to go through what I have. That way, I can get to everything I need quickly later on. If you want to "cheat," voting while connected to the SkyWars server will give you access to /kit skyknight for six hours. This kit comes with full iron armor and a diamond sword, and you can use it once every three minutes. You can also use /shop while in a game to buy stuff like ender pearls, wood (I think it has wood...), etc.
