OK, so I reported someone who had advertised a server to me Via PM, and I report him, you know the drill. But for some reason, advertising over MSG isn't bannable.... Why? Why is it not bannable? Apparently because it's only one person... still not ok. And what if other adverisers find out about that loop-hole in the rule, and begine MSGing multiple people IPs, so they can get away with it? I can't just sit on the sidelines and let that happen! My suggestion is to make MSG advertising a bannable offense. I hope all y'all can agree with me on this.

Because you can just do /ignore <name>

That doesn't get rid of the problem for other people, and the other game modes. It's also not punishing the person

people can easily prank other players by saying "What server ip is mineplex" then they put the server ip, it can be easily fooled.

As you can see from the screen shot nobody told him to do it

I think it should be reportable, but you may not report it if the screenshot is from a image site like Gyazo that could cut out the whole conversation. Maybe :t

I don't have a Gyazo account, so don't worry about that from me

Support. Wasn't this a rule in the past? I don't see how advertising in msg is any better than just using the whole chat, whether it's one person being given IPs or 60. Same problem really.
And by that logic wouldn't it mean that if someone advertises in global chat that every player on at the time is expected to /ignore them? Even in msg, it's doubtful they're coming on to advertise the server to one person then just leaving. Wouldn't they go around and message several people?

Advertising through /msg is only allowed if the other person asks for the IP, otherwise, it's a ban.

I'm sorry, friends should support each other I know, but this is kinda not that useful.
    Easier technique: /Ignore <name>
    good luck :cat:

Oh.... Then you should be able to /ignore Ranks. this would be a better idea, than adding a that laborious plugin

Support if it was the intent of the person solely to advertise an IP via /m. In other words, if they are spamming you or randomly messaging players an IP, some sort of punishment should be in place.

However it would be the player's job to gather evidence which proves that it was an unprovoked message (multiple and I mean multiple screenshots of all chat, which is not cropped). On top of that it would be both the player's and handling mod's job to determine whether or not the player was asking for the IP or not.

If that is too much to gather or this issue is so irrelevant that a large number of players aren't being affected by it, then no support.

Support, even I get a couple of IP's advertised to me on PM's. I didn't ask for an IP and I report that player to be banned. So yeah, I want to be bannable
