Closed Moderating Suggestion

I believe many young mods have been adding the list of mods. Although its nice to have more mods, I think we need older ones, and there should be an age limit on applying for mod, such as the age of 14+. Yes, once again it is nice to have more mods although these mods do not know as much as the older ones would know so therefore they will make more mistakes and make the number of false bans higher, in which will make more complaining from others. If this rule will pass in process then the young mods should stay in their place and no more mods under the age limit should be capable of joining the moderating squad.
( Sorry if this has done harm to any of the young ones that plain on joining or are a mod, congratulations on your rank. )

We have/have had a few Moderators under 14 and to be honest, they are way better at moderating than me. I don't believe age matters. If the person is mature and responsible enough, why not?

Yeah I understand that, but if you havent realized the amount of false bans have gone up, and noticed those mods do not really reply to their ban appeals so I do say you are right about that.

 

I understand what you mean, but false bans are made by everyone, mostly when we start off of course. :3

Train the mod, I am still banned for some reason in which he said I was unbanned its been 2 weeks, yet I am still waiting with no reply. (KitPvp)

 

and yes age is nothing but a number I agree, but some of the mods that are on the server obviously dont know what theyre doing and need some training^^. Mods like DCM, Nightfire, and Reconized

Age is just a number. You can be 12 years old and still be mature.

 

Age is usually just a number, we've had a 9 year old mod on one of Noobcrew's servers and he was very mature for his age. I feel like this is more directed towards under trained mods than younger ones.

I disagree strongly with you. Here are just a few under fourteen moderators:
@MaxNinja10 : An OUTSTANDING moderator. He was active as f*ck, always helping and doing many reports.
@MrParkourGuy : One of the best, more mature than I will ever be, and... MPG is God.
@PandaBear__ : Perfect. Active, helpful, everything. Her place in mineverse will never be replaced, and her place in my heart will absolutely never disappear. <3

Also, people will lie about their age to get moderator. This will not help at all, many good moderators will be unable to help.

Age is nothing; It is the amount of maturity, dedications, ect. Many Mineverse moderators that were under the age of 14 highly benefitted Mineverse.
Most of these "false bans" and "mistakes" are due to untrained moderators. However, everyone has to learn at some point, they will only learn from their mistakes. We're all human, and we all make mistakes.

 

@MrParkourGuy and @salamander9o were both young staff members, and yet, they both did an amazing job. I don't support because age doesn't necessarily matter in moderator applications (all depends on maturity.)
I've seen some younger people act mature than students in my school (I'm in high school.)
