I've been working on my mod app for the past few days, and I'm going to include this in it. I don't like the fact that one of the most popular servers on Mineverse has little to no Moderators online, which like you said, is the reason why there are so many hackers.
The author of the thread was stating that Kit needs more moderators on. Not that the current mods weren't doing their best, but that more are needed(I agree). While the report section is helpful, having mods in game means less players dying to cheating hackers and less reports for moderators to handle. Giving mods more time to spend in game than on forums. Over half of the hacker community are regular players(donors) on alt accounts hacking to kill players for their gear then passing that gear to their main account. That's how this game works. Banning the alt after the report is processed(1-3 days later) doesn't solve anything. The player has had time to move the gear to his main account by then. Knowing the alt will be banned. When I was mod I hung out on the servers that had the most reports. Kit is ruthless. The hackers are non stop. This server needs more than 2 active staff. I believe having mods only work certain game modes instead of global is actually going to make the matter worse rather than better. The problem was never the global mod status, but rather the quality of mods promoted. Now you have mods limited to only 2 game modes. No way of telling on forums who moderates what. And less mods on. Mods have no problem being on forums. Doing reports. Doing forum work. But these players need moderation in game. Ban the hacking alt accounts before they have time to transfer the items. He's just asking for more Moderators. It's simple to promote and find new staff, you just have to search outside of the forums as well. There are several sites you can offer your service, such as www.mc-market.com (hopefully I am correct). I think being under-staffed is a worse situation rather than not having enough staff.
