I have been playing on Mineverse for almost a year, and I have never had this problem before. Whenever I log on, the server makes my Minecraft crash. In the data log, it says : [17:14:44] [Client thread/INFO]: Attempt 1... [17:14:56] [Client thread/INFO]: Connecting to mineverse.com, 25565 [17:15:03] [Client thread/INFO]: [CHAT] Teleporting... [17:15:03] [Client thread/INFO]: [CHAT] [17:15:03] [Client thread/INFO]: [CHAT] Welcome to Mineverse [17:15:03] [Client thread/INFO]: [CHAT] Invalid memory access of location 0x7fb38268f rip=0x7fb38268f If anyone has had this problem before or knows how to fix it, please respond. P.S. I have uninstalled Minecraft (deleted all the files and the app) and reinstalled it once. However, this did not help me whatsoever.
@Daddy Im running OS X 10.5.8. My java is fully updated. It is Java 6. However, my operating system cannot run Java 7 so java is fully updated for me. Anything I could do? P.S. here are my computer specs Model Name:iMac Model Identifier:iMac9,1 Processor Name:Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed:2.66 GHz Number Of Processors:1 Total Number Of Cores:2 L2 Cache:6 MB Memory:2 GB Bus Speed:1.07 GHz Boot ROM Version:IM91.008D.B08 SMC Version (system):1.36f3 Serial Number (system):YM9081KC0TF Hardware UUID:DD23B182-EC52-5C07-A8AC-38C8D840709E

I've read through it, yet none of it details on how to fix the error. Any other suggestions? P.S. I have also looked up JVM errors with Minecraft. However, all of them pertain to allocating more RAM to Minecraft.
@Daddy Any chance this could be tied to an update on the minecraft side specifically support only 1.7u45 and newer? I know alot of applications got bit in the rear with the security changes introduced in that patch. Some software I work with now requires at least 1.7u45 or it errors out. I'm at work right now so can't test MC on a 1.6 java version until I get home later tonight.
Well I had a lot of issues in the past with Java on other servers but then updated my Java to Java 8 instead of Java 7 and that seemed to work a lot better for me, on the other hand it can just be due to security changes like you said.
Could you please confirm the specific build of Java 1.6 you are on? I did not see it anywhere in the information provided. Technical specifications for Minecraft can be found at the link below. (1.6u45 is minimum java version supported) https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/articles/325948-minecraft-system-requirements
Something else if you don't mind providing some more information, would be how and where you are allocating more memory to minecraft. Within the launcher, the default JVM arguments have Xmx at 1GB. This means minecraft can consume up to 1GB of memory. If you have set this value above what is available on the machine (2GB from your stats) then you could get issues trying to address depending on your swap space. Your swap should be held space on the disk, but if swap is trying to expand and your harddrive is nearly full, you may get some issues. Swap: Swap is virtual memory. When your physical memory is exceeded on a machine, the OS begins to shift data into swap. From this perspective, your RAM is still fully used, but there is so much trying to use it, that some gets pushed back to disk. The items in swap, being on disk, will be much slower than what is in memory. This value can also change over time. Should you only need a bit of space, the number of swap files will be low. As more items enter into memory and more swap space is needed, these files will grow over time. Be default, the files should be at /private/var/vm The files themselves will be named something like swapfile0, swapfile1, etc.
Search it on google or anything else if this is happening for all minecraft servers, like besides mineverse. Otherwise, @Daddy!
