Qustions Abouut Ranks And XP in Infection

Every time I'm in infection I have xp from voting but i can't figure out how to use it and for some reson it deleted all my xp. Can anyone help me with either of my problems

 

i figured out my rankup problem but still need help with my xp getting deleted

 

To keep the XP you gain from voting. Vote while in a round. If you die, disconnect or vote in another game-mode while voting, it won't let you keep the XP.
