Remove ratings on ban appeals

I believe that ratings on ban appeals should only be permitted to moderators. Now the reason why, is because people usually rate others' posts negative in ban appeals. The reason why is probably because they dislike you, usually by rating your post 'disagree', 'dumb', 'dislike', etc. (usually by the creator of the ban appeal or a friend of theirs. )
Causing conflicts and such on ban appeals.
I've seen this on the skyblock forums, so why not bring it over here.
salamander9o made a thread about this, but sadly, it got no attention. :(

I think the hackers victims have every right to voice their opinions on the guy who hacked them. Why not? Why should all the victims be silenced.

I think negative ratings should be removed in general...they do nothing but cause conflict.

I've seen players rate abuse a moderator because they tell them to follow the format, or explain to them why they were banned, or denying their appeal. If there is no way to remove ratings just from the Ban Appeals section, they should be allowed to remove all ratings given to them.

 

Eh... NO? That would ruin the Purpose of Ratings... you think they made dumb disagree or Dislike just for the rest of the forums... The forums was originally made for Reports and Ban appeals... Its not made for people to post funny posts... Its that the ratings were made to be used on appeals/reports... so... basically getting rid of it would ruin the whole Concept.. I don't get why people care sooo much of ratings... so what you can be "well known" or something... Ratings should be able to be used around the forums... not just on Off topic forums...

Appeals are for the player who was banned and the banning moderator. It is NOTHING to be judged by a player. Sure, you can read it, but why do you need to leave an opinion? It's an appeal, not a discussion.

 

Give your opinion to the suggestion, then choose to support or not support. If you would like to debate/argue your opinion, do so in a conversation.

I personally don't care about the ratings as I don't really judge a person from them. I think you should be allowed to disagree with someone on a ban appeal if it makes sense from their side, but if you disagree with a mod helping out a player like showing them the template or tagging another mod, then I think the mod should be able to remove those ratings if they wish to do so. Rate abuse only comes from someone negatively rating someone else several times in spite. So there's my opinion.

TL;DR - Mods able to remove negative ratings that don't make sense if they choose to.
