Sponge on Skygrid?

I recently put a sponge on my base for Skygrid. When my friend tried to open a chest, it wouldn't let her.
So im wondering how to add her?

What does the sponge have to do with adding people and opening chests?

 

It is like the shovel for survival or a claim block

 

anyone know how to add friends to it, though?

 

Isn't there a ./help command for the sponges, like ./sponge help or something,

As of now, there is no way to add people to the sponge protection. You just have to move your chests outside the sponge's protection radius.

ALSO, Why is it that my sponge isn't protecting my land? I placed it down and I logged on to get griefed, luckily, the griefers didn't take the sponge though but why isn't it working?

 

Hmm... I have yet to check if I was griefed, again.
