really silly idea but... desperate times call for desperate measures

the server is in the trenches, even deeper than the trenches if we're being honest. all we need to do is get a viral video on tiktok and if it hits the right audience, former players might want to check out the server again or possibly have new members

A viral TikTok will only get people to log in to the server, it won't keep them around.

 

Mineverse doesn't have any sort of unique gamemode that would attract new players tho. Like what makes it different from other servers other than its history.

we have had lots of viral tiktoks over the past couple years, with a few comments such as 'oh mv is still going? i used to play on this when i was a kid' etc
but realistically when they log back on and see 4 bots sitting in the lobby they're quite quick to just hop back off again, and its not like those old players (& even current ones) still play mc as religiously as they did in the olden days unfortunately

id say our best hope is appealing to gen alpha but i am not abt to skibidi toilet and rizz livvi dunne for tiktoks

 

i mean i think the problem is that people do show up to the server occasionally. but it's just a cycle where there's like 2 people online so no one wants to stick around for more than 5 minutes, and because no one wants to stick around for more than 5 minutes there's only like 2 people online at a time. i feel like there's enough occasional players that if they all logged on at the same time people would actually stay on the server.

 

late to the party, but really I think that you'd have to get a influx of new players and give them a reason to not just hop on hypixel. Attracting older players back to the server simply isn't enough I don't think (as an old player who occasionally hops in and checks on mineverse).

 

yeah i mean a single gamemode that other more populated servers don't have would help. and then that gamemode would need to be effectively advertised. but i also think bringing back some of the more popular gamemodes like factions and parkour would do a lot to help player retention, both when it comes to old players who arent interested in the server anymore and new players who might stumble across the server.

 

Pretty safe to say it's over then, at least we got discord lol
