Why is the server dead asf nowadays?

The last time I played mineverse was 2015, and there were always thousands of people playing mineverse. Now there's only 9 and below everytime I join the server nowadays. Did something happen?

Just curious, which game mode did you play the most back then?

 

The ones I played the most were Parkour, OP PVP, and Prison. And for whatever reason, both Parkour and OP PVP are not playable anymore.

what the guy above said - they started changing a bit too late imo, sad to see it happen and tuff that you came back at this time

 

OP PvP is being "released" soon, but patience is the key. Prison is fun to play with friends.

No matter what happens, time always ends up swallowing everything into obscurity. Almost every server that was popular in 2015 is now completely gone. At least Mineverse can say it has outlived servers like Mineplex, Emenbee, The Hive, etc. And even though Mineverse is not popular today, the server is still at least running and receiving updates. So we should at least give it credit for that.

I agree! It will never be the same again, but I'm grateful for the great experiences this server gave to thousands of people. And yeah, I'll miss infection with you and everyone else as well.

OP ain't even all that. It's just one of the only gamemodes that was impossible to mess up. Buy a sword and bow, get a few sets, and pvp. Zero thought has to go into that, so of course people flock over there. There were issues developing this "op revamp", but this release date is atrocious.

• An infection revamp that was promised would've done well I think.
• Bringing back kitpvp2 and have regular kitpvp as a legacy server (I think that's what they call it) could've had potential.
• Making a decent prison that was at least on par w/ OG prison could've done well. (Space prison closed down and the current prison receives 0 updates and the dev for the gamemode has gone ghost).
• Skyblock actually isn't bad, but it's the fact there's an entire crew server literally named skyblock.net that makes having "Mineverse Skyblock" pointless. We don't even receive the updates they consistently receive over there I'm pretty sure.
• Survival has had like 3 or 4 releases or smth and it's still dead. Currently, for survival, its players consist of Op players logging on asking when is it releasing, actual survival players who just enjoy playing, skyblock players whose gamemode is closed down right now as I make this, and that's about it. That player count has been at a max 10 or less people for the past months maybe even half a year.
• Nobody asked for Earth
• Nobody asked for BvZ
• Creative is just a throwback
• Skywars literally only servers as a playercount boost. (Right now there's 20 people on and half of them are on skywars.) It's that Skywars receives close to 0 players aswell, so it gets merged with MV even though it has its own server IP.
• Even parkour is down.

It's kind of sad to see it so dead, but wandering around the maps brings back good memories.

 

I feel like playing some solomn tune in honor of the hight of Mineverse.
