Not rly a big anime expert here but, I've watched: Toradora Fairy tail All of dragon ball ( XD ) One punch man ( both seasons ) Initial D ( All of it almost twice now, literally the best thing I've seen ) Avatar the last Airbender ( as most of the other people, don't know if this counts. I've seen all of the seasons way too many times, I would argue that I've seen it 10+ times in my younger days.I've used this series to learn English. ) And I don't think I have watched any other anime, that or I just forgot
Wow, great thread. Let's get into this. I will only include the animes I watched and find recommendable. Note, there are much much more animes to watch, and my PTW list is too long, so I won't include that here. This is just a recap of those which came to my mind right away, meaning they triggered a special emotion which made me remember it. Whether it's sorrow, love or hate, these animes are some I won't forget. My most favourite animes are bolded. -Your lie in April (watching this will make you burst in tears. Guaranteed.) -Koe No Katachi (A Silent Voice) -The Monogatari Series (Especially Kizumonogatari) -Noragami -Cowboy Bebop (An absolute classic and a magnificent work of art) -Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (this one is pretty common though) -Grand Blue -Mayo Chiki! -Spirited Away (Classic) -AKIRA -The Devil is a Part-Timer -Sankarea (this one is a cute zombie romcom, I enjoyed it) -Violet Evergarden -Sakurasou no pet na kanojo -Asobi Asobase (one of the funniest I've ever seen) -Nichijou -Steins;Gate -Higurashi no naku koro ni (a mind-blowing horror/thriller) -Shokugeki No Souma (It's a classic cooking anime, very well done) -Gotoubun no Hanayome (this is a harem romcom, one guy, five girls, five fanbases on reddit) -Chivalry of a failed knight (ecchi anime, but has a great plot) Then there's the stuff I consider "generic" (stuff a lot of people might've seen already). These are some of which I find recommendable, if you didn't watch them yet: -Re:Zero -Kaguya-sama, Love is war -Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon? (Don't let the title deceive you) -Rascal does not dream of a bunny girl senpai (Don't let the title deceive you) -Konosuba -Sword Art Online Season 1 (and Season 1 only) -Shingeki No Kyojin -Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann -Toradora! Most of these animes are pretty common, but still, the ones I posted above are definitely watchable and great. I found it hard to find a clear cut between "generic" and "not generic", but I tried my best. There's always room for discussion when talking about what's common and what's not. If there are any more that come to my mind, I will edit this post.

No but on a serious note I do have to say that SAO: Alicization ("season 3") is worth the boring second half of season 1 and second half of season 2. The wait for something that's actually amazing again oh yesss. UWO all the way
I completely missed the third season. Might check it out sometime. I always felt like the story was properly ended in the first season. Plus, the romance aspect was just great. I am just too hooked on Cowboy Bebop right now. It's too good. Faye Valentine is an absolute reason to watch it:

Oh my god I watched SAO S3 without realizing it wasn't the first season and I was so confused
Good. I wouldn't say it's something remarkable, it's pretty generic and very very very well known, so it's not really special. But still, there's a good reason why it is popular. The story is pretty great (and ngl, I could even imagine something like this happening soon, reminds me of "Ready Player One"), and the characters too. The main reason I watched it was because of the relations between the characters, which were also very good and the romance is pretty much perfect. Used to be a great SAO fan, but that was long ago when I started watching anime and I barely knew anything else.
