After many suggestions and inquires, we have finally got round to implementing the streamer rank! The streamer rank will be a rank obtainable through applying for it here providing you follow the requirements here and follow the template here. The rank will help us both. We can help your channel grow through the recognition you gain on MineVerse and you can help us to grow through the content you provide on the server. Once your application has been submitted, the media team will discuss and decide whether to promote you or not. Similar to the YouTuber rank, streamers will get access to /fly, /god and /tptoggle in game. In addition, upon being promoted you will also be given a free upgrade to titan! You will receive a tag both in game and on the forums. In game: Forums: If you are interested in getting your hands on the rank, feel free to apply here If you have any questions regarding the rank, feel free to comment them below or pm me privately.
so excited this got implemented, but please change it to Twitch! anybody can stream on either youtube, twitch, or mixer! it is much more efficient to know which platform the streamer is streaming on!
Already a thing, in fact we have two Youtubers currently (Selfie and Rent) Anyways thank you for the thread, great addition to the server c:
The idea of the rank is that it isn't exclusive to one platform e.g. twitch. Other streaming platforms exist such as mixer (I know it's shutting down), however I know of some that are upcoming. I see where you're coming from and the usefulness of it being specific to the platform, but if we were to promote a streamer from a website that isn't twitch and they were given the twitch rank, it wouldn't look very good on us nor them.
Just have a similar setup like Premium on forums. Premium perks are all the same, but there's different colours. Just name the rank after the platform they're streaming on. People would apply to be a Mineverse Streamer, but the name of the rank would be named after the platform they stream on. They'd all get the same perks, etc. P.S. Why was my rating removed by someone?
What's wrong with doing extra work to give a better experience to players? If it helps the people who have the rank and people who see the rank, I don't think the work would be considered "unnecessary". Putting the time and effort into the server would yield better result than cutting corners.
if the rank is meant for more platforms than just twitch shouldn't the template be edited to instead of "link to twitch profile" it should rather say "link to your streaming profile" or something like that.
Yes, I agree. This whole rank seems kinda rushed and unfinished. And why not have a "Media Creator" or "Content Creator" application forum that streamer and youtube applications would be grouped together in. Would look less crowded. And would a youtube streamer/uploader get the youtuber rank or streamer rank? Another problem platform specifying would solve.
It would cause more trouble then it's worth, both the social media team and the competition team are made to have a little interference needed from the higher ups / admins as possible. As I mentioned above and Matt has mentioned above, adding this would cause more for the higher ups / admins to do. It would add more for Matt to do as well considering the amount of back and forth that goes through setting things like this up. If we wanted to cut corners then there would be no social media team, there would be no Instagram, there would be no Streamer rank, and tweets / Youtuber promotions would happen once a decade because it would be up to Noobcrew to handle. I'll hit up mattenphew about changing that. If they apply for the Streamer rank and meet the requirements of the Streamer rank, they would get the Streamer rank (assuming we promote them). If they apply for the Youtube rank and meet the requirements of the Youtube rank then they would get the Youtube rank (Again, assuming we promote them). If you have any-more questions or concerns about it then I would hit up mattenphew on discord (mattenphew#5863) or make a conversation with him on forums. If you really want to discuss this topic and/or have some of it changed, then msging him privately will be your best bet.
