Essentially what the thread title says.

People are too busy AFKing on the game that they're not even playing it. They're simply just AFKing on the game for the vote parties that happen which gives them easy levels without being required to do anything but leave their computer on. I also doubt that this would be such a hard thing to implement seeing as we've had AFK timers on other game modes before. This is another method to stop things like Spawn Killing, like today I got a 37 killstreak just from killing AFK people at spawn...

Only real downfall I see to this is that the player count would drop a little as there wouldn't be like 6 people AFKing every game.

No support. This is a tactic in the game to get levels. After we lost unscramble the word it is getting harder to get xp.

No support, It would be way too hard to get levels without afking and poeple might stop playing as well as well as the point you made that not much people will be online

Support, the old infection did not have vote parties and people were still able to gain levels. This would help prevent spawn killing too.

I cannot tell you how many infection games I've played where the alpha zombie is AFK smh.. Gaining levels from free wins and farming AFK players takes all the fun out and isn't the way the game intended for you to get levels. You should have to work for it.

AFKing for vote parties is not a "tactic" it's literally doing nothing. The whole point of a game mode is to actually play it, not leaving your computer on 24/7 a day and easily ranking up from vote parties. Infection has been a game mode where gaining XP isn't supposed to be something that is easily gained. Just like Freakface stated in this thread afking for levels simply just drags the fun out of the game, people are meant to be playing to level up and not sitting doing nothing.

Thank you very much, I will also add your point into the thread!
Thank you! I completely agree that AFKing for levels simply just doesn't make the game fun at all.

We all love infection but lets all admit if afking wasn't a thing most of us would be quite low level I would probably still be around lvl 60-70

I see mods kicking afk players multiple times a day, why not just implement a 10 minute or 15 minute afk timer? Mods won't have to log on to kick afk players and thats one less thing for them to deal with.

Support :P. Sometime's the last few humans get glitched inside the zombies and then it is really hard to hit them.

Players can be kicked by staff for being AFK so I don't see how adding this would change anything.

Thank you both very much for your supports <3 :)

Most staff allow it, I do see why people would want an afk timer and to be honest you kinda persuaded me but I think it shouldent be something like 15 mins but around 45 to an hour but ill stay neutral

I agree but in old infec you got levels for surviving not just being the last one alive, so it was way easier to get levels

I don't remember the original mineverse infection, but that was not the case in the version that was released in 2016, before this one.

Not true for either previous versions of Infection. It has always only been 1 full XP level if you're the last one alive.

This is like saying hacking is just a tactic because it's getting harder to earn xp.

The timer can't be longer then the round, because then when the game tps you to the lobby or into a game it would reset the timer and never work.

Hacking is against the rules though. This isn't. I leave my pc on all night and I only get a few levels because a vote party only happens every few hours so it isn't that op. This helps people who want to rofl afk people for xp and it helps the afk people by letting them get xp. Everyone wins. You can't compare this to hacking because hacking is unfair to everyone else on the server.
