I feel like there should be a three strikes and you’re our rule - if you hack more than 3 times you are perm banned, obviously they can appeal but they shouldn’t be allowed to keep coming back.

You're not factoring in how long it takes to connect to said gamemodes (especially me), or the fact that each time we switch gamemodes we're giving away that we're on.

Not to mention that we already usually have a few people that yell at us in chat while we're on that we don't do anything, I'm sure that they'll be very happy to see we're spending time going to lobby to ban somebody who's just going to get on an alt instead of banning the 4 other hackers that are online.

Before you say that we should just ban all the hackers then go to lobby, let's first look at the fact that a lot of times a new one will come on after we ban 1 or 2, or that if we're in lobby spending a minute banning 5 people players will also get quite mad at us for not being on a certain gamemode.

If they really wanna hack, they're going to do it on an alt, all doing this would do is make it a bit harder to perm ban them because they'll be on diff alts hacking instead of their main.

Not to mention the other problem with it.

No support its so easy not to get caught because most clients tell you when staff log on and there are like 4 people who report

so the only options yall have now is to ban vpns or keep banning a ton of hackers everyday. so what if one stupid person leaks info just perm ban them and they're not coming back because vpns are gone. I keep hearing the same bullshit excuse of "well what about the people who need them to defend against hackers and people who leak info" well what if they live in a country that bans vpns and someone keeps leaking their info then when you ban them they come back on with an alt and keep doing the same thing. I swear I hate how staff pretend they care y'all dont just be honest come out and say "hey were lazy and banning vpns is easier then banning people who leak info but not in the long run but we dont care because we are never on and dont care". Seriously just ban vpns and accept some staff applications for s sake. seriously if leaking info is so bad make it a perm ban or perm mute with only 1 appeal or none.

mods are trash in the first place according to i_am_youtuber and there really isn't a point to extending ban lengths because hackers have unlimited alts and if theyIPbanned, they could go on a vpn.

But it's not just people leaking info, it's ddosing, or leaking info on things that aren't on mineverse.

The fact of the matter is, no matter what there will always be people who will need to use a vpn, for some reasons I can and can't say or describe.

Blocking vpns isn't the answer, there will always be hackers, there will always be people who can change their ip in other ways.

We try our best, if you think that's not the case then okay, but I don't care and this isn't at all the place for this.

Please stop trying to trash the staff team every chance you get, I would advise not keeping it up because if you continue it can result in a punishment.

I'm going to stop replying to this as it's clearly gone off of what the actual suggestion is. I'd advise you do the same.

Just to clear things up though, I would support this suggestion for kitpvp / op if it was possible to do so with only hacking bans and easily, but I don't think it's something that can be done that easy and that should really be bothered with if they're most likely going to hop on an alt anyhow.

I never thought it in an offensive way. And I think the only thing that the staff could improve is getting more online on the servers. I actually never see a staff when I'm online but that could be because of the timezone. If there is really no staff from my timezone that would be a nice thing if there's a staff from my timezone.

    I'm neutral on this.

I completely agree with what @i_am_youtuber had to say about this suggestion. On an irrelevant note @KidCraftKiller you should respect tuber. I completely understand it's a Minecraft server just simply respect him on here, you're not getting anything for calling tuber, "stupid," or, "retarded."

As a past moderator myself I know how difficult it'll be if we had to ban them completely not just what server they were cheating on. This means you would have to find the exact time for KitPvP, OpPvP, etc. which is a complete pain if the staff team had to do this.

Permanently banning a hacker isn't going to do nothing, they can bypass it with alts, etc. Regardless, most typical hackers come on get banned and don't come back. There's of course those people with a lot of ALTs and bother the heck out of the staff team but you can get them permanently banned by a sr. mod if it's an excessive manner.

I have a report thread that has been unanswered for a week now and the hacker are hacking clearly and no responded XD stop sucking banning hackers is easy go to the hub ban them there and kick them its that simple please explain to me how thats hard. and if hackers are so unstopable then ban vpns already smart asses. everytime someone suggest a solution yall shoot it down for a stupid reason. just come out and say you like the hackers cause its easier to keep them on then it is to constantly ban them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be less work to lobby ban in the long run? Say you ban a hacker from Kit PvP. Nothing is stopping them from hacking on OP, Factions, or Survival. If they go to new games, you're essentially having to ban them from each mode at separate times specifically, rather than from all of them at the same time.

And what is so bad about lobby bans anyways? By banning from one mode, you're increasing the odds that the other modes will start getting hackers - because it's one less mode they have to hack. I feel like this is counterproductive and sends the wrong message.

It's just how Mineverse has dealt with punishments since forever: per gamemode. As a person who used to play bedwars on here, I'm used to lobby bans so I'd honestly support that too. You also have to take false bans into account and realise that lobby bans will have negative consequences on the playercount. Not saying false bans happen often, but I myself have been banned 7 times for hacking without hacking. Not everyone who hacks on the pvp gamemodes hack on skyblock for example. You should also think about Youtuber's point: mods would have to leave the gamemode everytime to lobby ban. I dont know if people would like seeing the mod logging off and the hacker still being on. We also ofen get kicked for hovering when trying to log on a gamemode. Going to lobby for all hacking bans would get us kicked a lot. Annoying as heck

I think the best would be to ban hackers from all pvp gamemodes, but that would have to be done manually by mods since it can't be done automatically. I wouldn't mind lobby bans for hackers either as it would set a clear example that hacking is absolutely not acceptable. Other punishments should still be per gamemode

As far as I'm aware we use LiteBans right? Well if I'm correct there is a way to ban players all within one gamemode for example you can ban them temporarily on op pvp from kitpvp and vice versa using the command in this format (if it's enabled that is) but I don't think it would be too hard to setup if Crew is down for the idea:
    /tempban [player] [time] [reason] server:kitpvp/oppvp

You can read about it here:
    https://gitlab.com/ruany/LiteBans/wikis/Server-Scopes

Kinda depends on the configuration setup I suppose on how it works but I think this would fix the issue I quoted that you brought up.
