can we get rid of the marraige system

@Matt you might want to add a cooldown yes. People are spam requesting and spam rejecting

 

If not willing to remove it, a cooldown would be best. Because seeing "____ REJECTED ____'s marriage request" Gets old really fast

It's really annoying when the chat gets spammed with marriage requests. We're not getting salty.

 

I wasn't aware mineverse had a marriage feature lol. We have a similar feature on skyblock.net, and from my understanding we probably don't have the cooldown. When we first implemented it was popular and people were spamming the chat with a bunch of rejections and acceptances (one point few people joked about skyblock being Tinderblock lol). Nowadays it seems that trend has died out. How long as this feature been added?
From experience people would forget about this relatively quickly so maybe it would be best to wait this one for another week or however long it takes for the chat to die down? Unless it does become a constant issue then makes sense to add a cooldown, but if it dies like it did on skyblock then I see no point in doing this

 

It didn't die on skyblock.net. The message has been changed to a silent one that only you can see on there. Matt has already said that there will be a update to the friends plugin which contains the marry command as well to where it will change the global message to a silent one like it is on net.

a staff member is telling me I'm wrong now but I guess we will see by the end of this week ;) I'm pretty sure Matt said he would disable it in my suggestion about making it silent already. If not then it will at least not be AS spammy because the bug that allows people to deny marriages without sending a request would have been fixed. We just need a cooldown to completely stop the spam if making it silent is not a possibility.
