You know, as much as I like noobcrew etc I would not be surprised if in order to save mineverse noobcrew just decides to use old Arkham servers on here.

 

I understand, but with the greatest of respect, let's look at the facts. This was your only post in over two months and even that was just to defend yourself.

But you can say anything you want, the only thing I will ever see is actions. You have said all of this talk, but have you done anything that is recent to back your claims up? Since the reset, Mineverse has probably lost players if anything. it is your responsibility as the owner to ensure that you are sufficiently maintaining the server, and as a long time Mineverse member, I can disappointingly say that I genuinely can't see any of that as a player. Mineverse was once one of the best servers Minecraft had to offer; where is it now?

But I still have hope in you, I do believe you can bring it back on top, you just need to be more aware of the situation and maybe see things from the player's side. I honestly hope you do something because if you don't you will lose everything and after all the work you have done in the past to bring up such an appealing server will all be wasted.

 

I said I wouldn't be surprised. I do not know what you have access to I'm just simply stating that if it were to happen I wouldn't be surprised.

 

Wow you replied! I didn't mean to make these posts to talk trash about you because I didn't know that /staff was broken sorry and I was just worried for the server since I have been looking at the graphs and noticing the player drops. I really care about Mineverse and I hope you understand that. I wish you and the staff good luck with fixing the server and I hope you didn't get offended by my earlier comments. I understand that you have many more servers to run and that it can get stressful. But whatever happens I will stay with Mineverse.

 

I don't understand your argument. You people say crew does nothing for the server but at the same time you're trying to trash him for what according to you he would be willing to do for the server?

 

Maybe, just a thought, we should i don't know...stop stating the obvious every post that we make in the discussion section and maybe take action. Yeah we all know that its dying, nobody can deny it at this stage. Its better to start thinking of ways to fix the problem than talking about how we have a problem. Its clear Crew is working and it is the holidays after all so give him some slack. Let's try and work on solutions that can pull some players into the server rather than complaining shall we? It might be a more effective way of getting our point a crossed in having a solution to the problem.

He knows exactly what to do. It's not like this guy is inexperienced or anything, he has ran some big servers back in the day; he just needs to do it.

 

He doesn't know what the player base wants him to do unless they tell him. He can do a million things to try and help mineverse but as the record has shown people will only like one of them.

 

I think the thing that concerns me most is the fact that crew didn't even acknowledge one of the largest factors in keeping a playerabse alive... Youtube Advertisement.

So Crew, if you happen to see this, as an ancient member of the community, and for the sake of all these angered members, please explain why you haven't delved into the realm of Youtube advertisement.

 

I think it would be amazing to have a Mineverse YouTube channel

 

The owner might already know what he does after the server is down.

Alright, time for the long as ever posts I make (;)).

Starting this off, I don't believe Cypriot's intentions are to kill the server. I do know people are saying he knows what he is doing he just needs to do it. That might be the simplest way to put it nicely in words and the most respectful way. I think if we focus on our strengths as a community then we can try and comeback from this decay as some have tagged this as now.

Infection was our strength in many ways. It wasn't necessarily the most popular, but many of our beloved members did play it quite often and myself included. I do remember much of our staff after they become global staff still dwelt on the Infection server. There was just something about its simplicity that attracted people even at late hours (NA/AU). I think biased opinion included that bringing this gamemode back would be good in trying to bring players back online. I know quite a few people that are still on the forums but don't play necessarily would appreciate its return and might possibly attract new members. I also think we should do it properly. I do know they are contacting original map creators from Infection, however there is a slight problem with that, as they might have moved on from MV. We might have to accept relying on re-creations of those maps if we seek to go for a nostalgic route of bringing Infection back (which is our best bet rather than new and modern maps).

I also think bringing Towny back properly would help as well. It was a huge blast and hit before server issues began to severely infect all the gamemodes (or at least major gamemodes). We had several large scale towns within the server and people made great towns/experiences within it. I do believe bringing that back as well properly and making sure the lag does not majorly affect the experience should attract new people seeking a more RPG style of play within Minecraft.

Certainly it would help to seek more administrative roles within the staff. I do know that it should be for a select few within our own staff, however we might be forced to be more open to letting more people have more power within the server itself to accomplish things in a faster pace if we seek to do so. All I'm saying is consider the idea of admins more often, while I do understand we didn't trust people before as history showed us it didn't pan out well to trust people with power, we might be forced to in order to take less pressure on Noobcrew now that he's working full steam. Or seeking more developers could help as well.
Just a friendly opinion to another in trying to help wither the decay that is happening on a good old server that a lot of people liked.
