NA Wolfie’s Moderator Application

Hello! Welcome to my application. I just wanted to start off with a little introduction. I first came to Mineverse in 2015. I was fascinated with infection. After a year of playing infection, I decided to make a forums account. A few months later, I applied for moderator. I joined the team on June 19th, 2016. I was so excited. I made so many memories during the time period. After two months of moderating, I resigned. I resigned because I was entering my first year of high school. I wanted to make sure my grades were high, so I eliminated all my distractions. Once I got used to high school, I became active again. I applied for moderator once again and got accepted. I’m not too sure why I resigned, but I deeply regretted it. I know this application may seem early, but I’ve been pretty on active. Most of the time you’ll see me on survival, skyblock, or OPPVP.

Why do you think you should become a mod?
Active
I have been on Mineverse for 3 years. I play for about three or four hours during the weekdays. I play on Mineverse as much as I can. Whenever I’m not in the game, I’m usually on the forums.

Not Biased
If I see one of my friends break a rule, I will still punish them. This is important as moderator because you can't let your friends break the rules. This ruins that other player's experiences on Mineverse, and might make them quit the server. If my friends on Mineverse are doing something that is breaking the rules, I won't just let them go without punishment. This is because as moderator you make sure that everyone is following the rules. Also if someone that I don't like is breaking a rule, I won't punish them more then if my friend did it. I would punish them according to what I am supposed to do.

Mature
I've never struggled with maturity in the past because of my calm personality. I am never hyper or angry because that's not how I get. Even when someone’s trying to argue with me, I’m always calm and respectful. Since it’s been over a year since I was a moderator, I’ve had that time to mature and grow as a person.

Responsible
Everyday I find chat-bypassers, hackers, and toxic people. Anytime an important rule is broken, I gather the evidence and report the rule-breaker. I have filed a lot of reports, and I am happy that I am making Mineverse a better place. I also know that I have to be responsible with being moderator. Even with friends, I know that I cannot share my abuse my powers as a moderator. I know what the rules are and I know what to do when people break the rules. Whenever someone breaks the rules, I punish them accordingly to what I should do to them, not what I want to do.


Respectful
According to my coaches and teachers, I am one of the most respectful people. I always make sure to listen ito my parents, teachers, siblings, friends, and others. I know what it is to respect someone. I make sure to be polite to people. I don’t start arguments, and I never get angry with anybody. I also don’t swear. Not only is swearing disrespectful, it is also not needed.


Helpful
I try my best to help everyone I can, because its the right thing to do, no matter if you're a moderator or a player. Whenever someone new joins I knows its always important to welcome them and ask them if they need any help. Everytime they need help with something, I do my best to explain it. When someone needs help with something, I am ready to answer every question they have. It makes me happy to see new players joining and figuring things out because I remember when I was new. I always strive to be a very good leader because its important when it comes to making players feel safe and comfortable in Mineverse.


Hacks
I am pretty knowledgeable about hacks. During my time as a moderator, I have banned a lot of hackers. Although I do make some mistakes, I am able to tell who is hacking and who isn’t. I also know how to judge if a video is valid proof or not.


Forgiving
As a moderator it is important to be forgiving. I am forgiving because I believe that everyone deserves another chance if they have done something wrong. When a rule-breakers punishment is over, I won't keep reminding them about it. I would just play with them as if they were another player.


Honest
It is important to be honest, because if you aren't, you won't be trusted. If you aren’t trusted, then you would not be a good moderator. In reports, ban appeals, and in-game, you need to tell the truth. I know that this is important. It also is important to be honest with both players and other staff members. Whenever you lie, it complicates the situation.


Cheerful
To me, making people happy is one of the best parts of being a moderator. I think being happy and cheerful will transform a mood from tense, mad, or angry to cheerful, happy, or calm. This is important for moderators because you want to make everyone feel welcomed and happy so that their experience on Mineverse will be fun. Looking at the bright side of things can help players change their attitude and experience.

Weekdays: 3-4 Hours
Weekends: 4-5 Hours

I’ve been playing Mineverse since 2015 and I’ve been on the forums since 2016.

When I first started on the forums, I was muted for post farming. In-game I was banned, but it was just for permissions removal.

Thank you for your feedback. I usually try to spend time on skyblock, survival, and oppvp. This past week I've usually been playing oppvp at around 12am Est.
