Forums Hidden Reports.

So I saw this idea on another server and I actually liked it so I'm going to suggest it to this server because I think it can help a lot.​

So the title basically explains it all, but I will give a brief description anyways. So the suggestion is to make the "reports" section all private for only the staff members to see, the only reports the players can see are there own.

Of course, players won't be able to tell if other players are doing reports, but it means that if someone gets reported it can prevent them from knowing who reported meaning that it can cause less hassle because some people get targeted for doing reports (including myself sometimes.)

I feel like this will prevent people from getting targeted in-game by people just because they do reports.

I see your point, but if they target you, just ignore them its just a game. I think it is important for the community to be in the know if someone gets banned. This could prevent multiple reports on one player, could let players see how many reports someone has for application purposes, and banned people deserve to see why they are banned for appealing purposes if applicable. This used to be a thing a little bit back, but people didnt like it. Sorry, no support.

 

Okay I can also understand from your point, I just wanted to suggest it as I have been threatened, I have been doxed and false banned and everything just because I did a report on a person and I don't want anyone else to go through on what I had to do because my stress level on it was literally over infinite.

Could they not check the ban management to see if they are punished?

I can understand that side of this, as I also feel that they should get some recognition because of there work.

Could people not just appeal and then moderators can then forward on proof of them breaking rules?

But then players can still know that you're reporting. Will feel suspicious as report and punishment date would be on the exact date and time.

 

Support, loads of people get pissed when they find out who reported them :/

Well only staff members will be able to see the reports therefore they can give feedback back on them.

true but reports are a good way for the public to see how active a player is. Although hidden reports would be so beneficial. Still sticking with support :D
