True, the best change that can happen to MV is the replacement of the owners, which can basically do what they want. Though, I don't think our current owners would be keen on that, neither on selling it; if they keep it, they can make money on a long-term period (If everyone doesn't quit, that is.) If they sell it, they'll have money for a short period of time and they'll eventually have to get jobs to keep their homes.

The main reason in my eyes is cause of all the great people who have come by and now have left, that'd be my ideal for why the server has gone downhill, however it still seemed to keep running well after 2013-2014 when I left, but then again everyone grows up and gets over things, who know, the owners may not even like this game anymore but keep the server running for those who do enjoy it.

The problem with people wanting changes is that the administration team cannot do anything without Noobcrew's say. And he doesn't like change at all. Very little gets through to him. More would have been done if they could've done so.

It wouldn't be a terrible idea, bringing in owners who are going to actively pursue the server and make well-needed changes. Until then, I'd say enjoy the last of it. It'll eventually come to a point where it's not worth keeping open anymore (financially).

I agree. Mineverse has been dead since late 2016/early 2017 and nothing has been done to fix it. Play while you can because by about 2019/2020 I fear everyone will be gone.

I already agreed with this thread, but I kind of want to go deeper into this just because I have time to do it.

As many have stated, the owners have practically given up on the server, and they are basically sucking the money they can get out of it until it dies completely. Although there are some new additions here and there, most of them are pointless and the owners are not focusing on the biggest problems on the servers that would actually keep a lot of players happy.

For one, I feel like the loss of Pile, Sparky, and Pastel has broken the staff team, as these were some of the few staff members that actually did their job and were active. Sure we still have a few senior moderators that are active, and rare regular moderators, but I feel like the moderation team is inactive to a point that makes the community sick. I understand that they are doing everything that they can (when they actually are on) to prevent hackers, spambots, etc. from ruining the server, but I also feel like the staff team itself could do with a major improvement. If the server is sold to an active owner, maybe we'd actually have some active staff and a larger team in general. I feel like some of the moderators should actually be demoted, a few in particular that I won't name, but this is for a reason. You may ask, wouldn't demoting some of the moderators make the team even smaller and more inactive? Possibly. But I feel like if they truly were inactive to the point that they never do reports and are rarely ever seen on forums or in game, they weren't making a dent into an improvement on the staff team. With these demotions, I feel like more people would feel like making an application because staff are actually needed, so they feel like they have a chance because the server will accept anyone who can do their job and be active. Maybe with this new generation of staff, we could have some active ones, and maybe they could replace the ones that didn't do their job anyway.

Secondly, as I said before, the improvements that are made aren't the necessary ones. From the addition of a new spawn, making a new discord, or "resetting" some of the servers (which took way to long, so the playerbase was already dead), there are more important factors that should be looked into. Although xBman has said there is a chance that there will be an anti-cheat added, which would obviously be great, why don't they just get some cheaper anticheat for the time being, to at least detect and stop basic hacks. There are also many suggestions that have been put it, yet I rarely ever see one that becomes [Approved], and usually they are small additions that really don't make a big difference on the server. After adding the basic additions and changes needed, then I feel like that is an appropriate point to go into working out the small kinks.

Third, I feel like other than selling the server itself, I wouldn't mind seeing a new owner or co-owner that has the power to make additions without the owners having to accept every little thing. I feel like with a new owner/co-owner, the changes that have been talked about could be made, and everyone would stop complaining. This new owner/co-owner could help out the community a lot ingame, but also on forums, by being active, doing new things, overcoming new obstacles, etc. As you see, the owners have like no messages on this forum, but maybe the new owner could be someone who could publicly talk and hear out everyones' suggestions instead of just ignoring us.

I agree, what should happen and what is happening are 2 very different things.

I agree. We have Tin15cro, who hasn't done a report since the December 15th, and we have Canucksfan44, who hasn't done a report since December 31st.

I can understand many frustrations that you have for the server; you wrote a rather lengthy response which I'm going to do my best to address some of the points to the best of my ability.

In regards to your first point about the staff team, what exactly do you think needs to be improved? From my observations staff are rather quick to review reports and to give the necessary punishments for rulebreakers in a decent manner. Are you talking more specifically in-game activity like staying on a server and just moderating the chat ingame in general?

We have had approval from Noobcrew, and I hope to be able to have an anti-cheat update across all servers (or at least pvp ones) to combat many of the hackers sometime this week. More to follow when this happens - I can't say how useful the anticheat update will be on some servers, but hopefully, it will make somewhat of a difference.

Earlier today I cleared the Suggestions forum to two pages and completely cleared the Bugs and Exploits forum. I know for me, just seeing how much threads were in there made it hard for me to track the current issues; let this be a fresh start to report exploits & bugs.

Thanks for the response and clearing things up, but I will reply also.

When you asked about how the staff team needs to be improved, as I stated, there are many inactive moderators. Yeah, sometimes your report could be checked quickly, but other times it can take hours or you have to wait until the next day for your report to be checked. This allows a lot of time for the said rule breaker to go along unpunished. The problem here is that there are a few active staff, Ordi, connor, losttt, etc. that will check your report fairly quickly, but if they are not on, it won’t get checked, as most of the other moderators do nothing at all. So if you report on a time where these 3 are not on (sleeping, vacations, taking a break) then nothing will happen for quite awhile

It's a good server, just that I don't think that it gets a lot of attention to get worked on or gets worked on that much.

There are currently staff like @xBMAN who are working hard to keep the server flowing smoothly and are taking our suggestions into put.

for those of us that have been here a long time, it is very sad to see no one playing on mineverse anymore. even if they dont want to sell, anything to get atleast a few more people on would go a long way.
