HARSHER PUNISHMENTS! I know I've cheated before on an alt on mineverse, and one thing that I never worried about, funny enough, was the BAN! Only a month ban for CHEATING! I believe if we start handing out harsher punishments for hacking - permanent (appealable) and if you're IP has 2 or more banned accounts it would result in an IP-Ban from the server. Most of the time you see those hackers on kitpvp, it's usually the same people that are coming on alts and cheating. You will see a decrease in hackers if these ideas were to be implemented.
You have to understand one thing about what you stated above: most of the hackers that we see online are actual players that seek more items by hacking. If these accounts got IP banned, the player count will drastically decrease. Adding harsher punishments won't result in any improvement, in my mind. Also, this suggestion will most likely never be implemented because Noobcrew has once stated that there is no use in IP-Bans as it will decrease the player count, the same idea I'm trying to prove above. No support, sorry.
It may decrease player count at first, but if players knew they were going to be getting these harsher punishments and permanent bans, they would rethink cheating, you're saying most of the server is comprised of players that are alting, what's a fix to this Ordi?
On the contrary, you know how many players MV has lost due to the lax punishments dealt to hackers? You're pretty much saying without hackers, MV would be dead. Is that why MV doesn't get a good anti cheat???? With the notion of harsher punishments administered to hackers and other cheaters, legit players would be more obliged to play on MV. I do not support this specific suggestion, but I support the idea of creating harsher punishments for hackers specifically.
An IP can be changed quite easily. I'm all for tougher punishments, maybe even a permanent ban for cheaters, but in the long run this wouldn't work out.
