Discord Mods?

Intro
Soooo my suggestion is to have discord mods. This would be good because Mineverse and Skyblock mods shouldn't have to do the extra work and manage a discords server.

Details
♦All Mineverse and Skyblock mods still get Moderator ranks on discord.
♦Discord mods will be able to mute, kick, move, deafen, warn, and ban.
♦The color of the names would be Tealish . (If this color isn't taken)

Possible Application
1. How often are you on Mineverse/Skyblock discord?
2. What time zone are you in?
3. What times can you be on discord? (Ex: Mon-Fri 3PM-8PM)
4. What languages do you speak?
5. Do you know how to use the current bots we have active in the discord? If so what are some commands?
6. Why should you be a discord mod? (Explain!!)
7. Have you been banned, kicked, or muted in the past on Mineverse/Skyblock discord? If so why?
8. Do you have Two Factor Authentication set up?
Summary
Add discord mods, they get basic moderating commands and a colored name. Must complete template to become mod.

No support, simply because it's not needed and we have many active staff anyways. If Cypriot didn't think we couldn't handle it then he would've made it a rank initially. Thanks for the thought of us though

Obviously I'm gonna support this. I came up with this idea in the first place. Something he forgot to mention was:

Why have Discord mods in the first place?

Well, I have been on the Mineverse Discord everyday and sometimes the mods don't join voice channels. (Which is perfectly okay btw) But, I have noticed that sometimes a few people join and cause a huge disturbance. Maybe they scream into the mic, making annoying noises or just be overall rude and disrespectful. It ruins the call and doesn't make it enjoyable. If we had a moderator on Discord that can easily be reached instead of bothering the admins and server mods who are probably doing other important things, the discord mod can handle the problem and the problem can be resolved.

 

Please never hesitate to contact us. We signed up for this and it is the important thing we are doing. This is our job to handle these types of situations.

The only reason this was suggested is because you staff members already have a lot on your backs. There were mod applications for the Dubtrack. Why not the discord? In order for things to be successful we need others help, we need other people to step up, keep things in control and enforce the rules. Yes you staff are active but what about when there are no staff online to help? Then what? This isn't suggestion get a whole bunch of people to be mods on discord, this is suggestion accept a few people to help out and take some weight off of your jobs.

The reason Dubtrack had applications is becasuse I didn't give people staff on Dubtrack just because they were staff on Mineverse, that's completely different. There are 46 staff members on the discord of all sorts of timezones, which is more than enough

I can assure that no matter what there will always be at least one moderator online to provide assisstance on discord.

Next time something happens that staff are not helping with please make sure you have messaged them. I have never once been messaged by you for assisstance on the Discord, therefore in my book we have not had any times where there have been no staff helping a situation.

 

Team speak has their own staff and while they did not apply for the rank they have been selected by Cyp for their activity level on the TS server. Discord in my opinion is like TS in the way that it hosts several people and several staff but at the same time not all staff are active especially in voice. You don't have to support the idea but explain what harm the rank would do? Added help never hurts and I think it's great to see people reaching out to support the server.

The "need" isn't the question although we have almost no staff in voice at any time. The one who made this thread is on daily.

This is the same as new mods for the server, you don't know if they plan to abuse. You have to trust the person if they fail then they face the consequences of demotion... simple as that. Thanks for your feed back
